babies got a new cat tree. rare photographic evidence of coexistence

Two cats are sleeping on a cat scratching tree. One sleeps in a hanging basket type situation, the other on a padded platform.

Thyme has also been extra cute lately

Thyme, a brown and black long haired tabby, sits in a pink cardboard box. Above her is a sign that says 'Dumb Baby Box and a downward pointing arrow.

What if I told you that the only reason I am bald is that I’m afraid of a Ratatouille situation? What if I told you that I’d have so much hair if not for the fear of a rat using me like a puppet? These are modes of control, Neo. This is how they manipulate us. Ratatouilles, Neo. Rats that pull hair.

Believe it or not, Thyme is my favorite precious angel baby that can do no wrong. She just isn't as interesting to photograph as Space is as she spends all of her time sleeping in one of like 3 spots. But she is very cute, even when sleeping on my sweaters.

A brown long haired tabby cat is asleep on a cubby shelf, using a folded gray cardigan as a pillow.

honestly I'm glad if the cactus is finally done being haunted, because it lives in the corner of our bedroom during the winter and I don't know if I want grandma watching me sleep

A summer scene as the days get shorter. 🌼

A summer scene. A long haired grey and white cat is standing on a fence. They are surrounded by sunflowers. Bee like creatures are hovering near the flowers.

The last time it bloomed out of season was a single flower, in the middle of the plant, the week his grandfather passed. It was the middle of summer and the plant was outside at the time so it was not standard blooming conditions for these guys at all! It's been on schedule ever since then.

It seemed to bloom out of season whenever my husband was having a rough time. He had gifted the cactus to her, and we took it back when she passed as his grandfather was blind and couldn't care for it properly.

This is the same Thanksgiving cactus that we're pretty sure was haunted by the ghost of my husband's grandmother.

throwback to that one time space sat on our thanksgiving cactus (the cactus has since recovered, and is in bloom right now!)

space the cat has nestled herself (somehow) into the middle of a thanksgiving cactus. She is looking toward the camera, as if to say "What are YOU going to do about it?"

The thanksgiving cactus, a few years later, no longer squished and covered in bright pink blooms.

i'm just going to repost old photos of space every so often because who wouldn't want to see space with pizza sitting on her

Space, a brown and white tabby cat, is sitting in a plush blue cat bed. Two pizza hut boxes are sitting on top of her.
