I've been meaning to get into Famistudio but there was some weird hickup trying to install it on MacOS. It sounds good, though. I've used either Magical 8-bit or Plogue Chipsounds in the past.

Over the years I've accumulated a lot of synths and plugins and most of them have gone unused. I started to challenge myself to make music with them, using only one to make a track. This was made using Nils' K1v, a Kawai K1 emulation. It sounds something out of a PS1 JRPG to me.

Usually it's a good thing if the music in a game supports the visuals, story, atmosphere etc. and then you have games like Ys VIII where the music slaps so hard that it doesn't matter if it doesn't make me feel like I'm exploring a tropical island.

Most analog sticks will fail eventually, Joy-Cons being the most egregious example. I've bought at least 6 different controllers for my Switch over the years and only ones that still work are my 8bitdo controller and Nitro Deck.
