illustration blockouts for letters to the vampire queen ngl, these flat types of compositions are the most difficult to make look intense. compositionally they are simple so the subtle body language gestures and have to do so much more hard carrying

WHY? because i want to try and do my best. with comics you always make compromises as it's a sort of a panels per hour kind of a deal. you always sacrifice quality for speed here i hade the luxury of some extra time and i plan on making the most of it :) we'll see if it's worth it in the end

illustrating my novel is an entirely different experience from making comics. pieces take much longer and are done at a slower more segmented pace allowing me to come back to them and keep improving as i go.they vary from putely digitally painted to mixing in my own 3d sculpts and even hiring

one of my favorite things to do every now and then is using my 3d sculpts and making illustrations around them. makes for a good stress test of character likeness and also makes for a good light setup anchorpoint to build off of.
