I started very late in September and didn't follow the list. But I've managed to create at least 30 ships for #shiptember. And I'm absolutely loving how these isometric designs have been turning out! Right now it takes me about a day to crank out a sheet like this. So much fun!

#shiptember Modular construction of space ships. Each unit is equipped with a power supply, thrusters, nav computer, communication & defense systems, life support & other crew accommodations, & can operate independently or as combined structures. Damaged modules can be later expelled as needed.

#shiptember I've been gradually building up isometric part sheets to try & speed up my ship creation process. Imagining new design assemblies is the fun part, but line removal is the biggest time consumer, especially if I'm not careful to stop and edit a new part before replicating it many times.

Creature Concept: Leg-Winged Dragon (green version 1)

The dragon has short, carnotaurus-like arms, and two sets of large back legs, which function as wings, and sport large membranes that attach to the dragon's tail and side. They are similar to the legs of sharovipteryx in structure.

Though the dragon is primarily green, it has black and orange stripes of different sizes and proportions on its tail, torso, neck, and face. The arms and toe membranes are solid orange in color. Its 2 pairs of horns are brown, and they stick up straight from the head before beginning to curve backwards at about halfway up their length.

Creature Concept: Aspidus (cyber cobra)

Digital artwork of a mechanical cobra monster. Its fanged mouth is open, and a flame shoots from it. Its eyes likewise streak flames, and two large tubes on its bottom jaw shoot out jets of smoke behind its head.

Its hood, made of reflective metal plates, is open wide to reveal a pair of laser weapons with circles of blue lightning energy spinning around them. The edges of the hood are lined with spiky, rib-like bone structures on hinges.

The metal body is coiled over itself on a rough black floor, and the tip of its tail is made up of large exposed vertebrae held together with sets of cables that run through holes drilled into the bones. Held high above the ground at the end of this chain of bones is an electrified string of metal balls. Bolts of blue lightning similar to those in the hood weapons jump from one ball to another.

Creature Concept: Sleipnir

Digital illustration of a monstrous grey horse creature, which is Odin's steed in Norse Mythology. It is standing on a grey plane with a black sky behind it. Its mane and tail are made of northern lights. Tusk-like fangs stick out of its mouth, and it has 8 limbs; 3 sets of legs and 1 set of humanoid arms that hold swords.

It wears a silver helmet with a set of curled gold horns on them. On each horn perches one of Odin's two ravens, Huginn and Muninn. It wears a leather bridle on its face beneath the helmet, and a set of reins hangs from its mouth to the saddle on its back, the leather of which is engraved with nordic runes and Celtic knots. On its back flank, the horse creature bears a circular wooden viking shield. Beneath the saddle and the shield, there is a deep red blanket hung over the creature's body. Along its side, a wolf's pelt also hangs out from under the saddle.

Leather straps around its belly suspend a golden figurine of jormungandr, a large draconic serpent, and a gold plate on Sleipnir's left shoulder sports an image of Fenrir, a giant wolf, wrapped in chains.

Flattened spherical waveform with coloring. #MathArt

A single line forms a curved grid with overlaps that are colored to create an interlaced pattern. A combination of sine and cosine functions plot a wave over a spherical surface which is "flattened" by reducing the scale and distance significantly when converting from 3D to 2D. Space - an endless sky. Continents and oceans - globular clusters. Suns - threads drifting through eternity. Thistledown - a dimension where gravity has its limits. Although it can't be a terribly original or realistic idea, my implementation, story & characters are very unique. #worldbuilding

The titles read "Thistledown. A realm of bounded gravity." The background hints at additional landmasses, but the main image is of a floating rounded mass of land with half-timbered houses on it. They each have a position relative to the local gravity that wraps around the landscape. The houses are done in ink pen. Coloring is done in Krita.

The Bézier curve tool in Krita has been a game changer for me. This cyclopean mech has two shoulder-mounted multi-directional cannons for a total of sixteen individually firing weapons. Positioning sensors & a fail-safe targeting computer ensure it doesn't accidentally shoot itself. #SciFi #TTRPG

Thank you all for the 10^3 follows and countless likes! Excel is hard to use for many. There's a lot I would change about it if I could. But a lot of it I find extremely useful. After a dozen years I've gained a certain mastery over something never really designed to be used in this way. #MathArt
