I made huge strides in my tournament mentality in this game as well. I'm still nervous, but now I'm able to play proactively and push a gameplan rather than freezing up. I felt like I was in control during all my matches, even when I lost.

I'm in this weird spot with 3rd where I'm improving a ton and playing really well in casuals, but as soon as I play in any tournament with somewhat sizable stakes I freeze up and overthink everything. It sucks.

I'm getting so much better at 3rd strike recently it feels great to see progress. And at the same time I'm getting a clearer grasp of the skill gap between me and better players lol. Just something that happens as you put hours into anything I guess.

Combobreaker was insanely fun, played nervous on stream for #3rdStrike but made it to day 2 which I'm proud of! Finished 33rd/199 and still could have went further by fixing a couple mistakes.

I am so glad I went to the Jazzy AQ at Logan this past weekend for #3rdStrike. Went 2-2 to place 17th/40 and got to watch the homies do well. It inspired me to play ranked fightcade for the first time in months too.

Enjoying playing through #residentevil 1 (gamecube remaster on steam). Atmosphere is so good and the zombies are no joke. The save system is pretty brutal too, I have to sit down and make some serious progress in between saves and it's so scary when I'm about to die

Dropped into the mini at Lincoln yesterday and even though it's only six inches taller (ballpark) than the one at modern it's so much faster. Also one side is slightly taller than the other which was sketchy. I was able to do a short line of rock to fakie, tail stall, rock which I'm proud of tho.

Oh yeah the ai in re4 og for sure takes the tank controls into account which is nice, but it's still challenging at times. You should revisit re2 remake sometime tho, it's way more scary/stressful imo but that makes it hilarious when you have someone else watching lol

It does feel better but the knife's main purpose in re2 seems to be a safety net if you get grabbed cause you can choose to stab a zombie (or monster) in the neck to get away when you really need to. It's saved my life quite a few times when I really needed it to.

Re4 on the other hand gives you way more ammo and enemies to just tear through like an action movie which is honestly sick. It's not as scary but I don't think the game's trying very hard to be. Leon's change in character from 2 to 4 is pretty cool as well dude's just a beast.

Loved the stress and anxiety of the low ammo, tough zombies, and getting chased around the map in re2 remake. Made it very scary. The gore in that game was insanely good too.

Having lots of fun playing through the resident evil series, #re2 remake was dope and I put like 30 hours into it. Playing OG #re4 on controller for the experience and it's very different but also a blast.

That makes sense, I don't play in many brackets anymore but personally I liked setting specific goals on in-game things to hit (certain punishes, movement patterns, defense in specific situations). So I can tell how consistent I am beyond just thinking I "played well".

I feel like that short term goal is inherently inconsistent due to seeding/bracket luck. It's always hard to gauge performance off of bracket results IMO, unless you're getting like 1st-3rd.
