Diary

Today was dreadful and delightful. Saw Alekys Something (he is polish and I am failing to remember his last name), though I failed to recall who he was until I managed to recognise Agnes.

They lingered until closing, tittering at my apparent sourness, before I reminded them I was on my feet all day. At least they were generous enough to nurse their drinks so I could rest leaning against the bar.

To my surprise they invited me to a coffee house a significant distance away. With each step I grew more annoyed while trying not to, especially when Aleksy linked his arms with mine while I was quiet comfortable leaning on Agnes. Both are at least a head taller than me and at certain stretches I was dangling from his grasp.

The prices of the establishment was reasonable with plenty of chaise lounges and harried waiters in starched uniforms, I could see myself lingering here. I will likely get lost when I try to navigate my way back so that adventure is for a later date. It is near the hat shop near the old hotel and across from the apothecary with the green door.

The two of them talked about this and that; while I pretended to read my book. Good news is I have a commission again. Bad news is my behaviour has left a mark on the couple and they expect a repeat of my drunken fumbling. To my relief they understand not to read into my lack of social niceties. They are aware I am not tolerating their company under duress.

I do not exactly know what to feel. They are being incredibly accommodating and have managed to pick up on my quirks in our short meeting. Most of it I spent sprawled over their laps. I am still shaken that we; as in all three of us have kissed.

I have to stop myself from panicking over venereal diseases. I am scared at how saccharine things might get. I’m well aware of the love affairs my compatriots engage in, being involved in one; rather than pretending to listen to the woes such entanglements cause is a different matter entirely.

They chaperoned me to the hotel I am holed up in, with a promise of housing me as I work on the painting they want from me. With earnest wet eyes that I could not refuse. I am being cornered into a situation that has potential to turn nasty.

I am getting a deposit tomorrow. That is consoling me, at least a little.

I will likely tear this paragraph off, we kissed goodnight, I could not bring myself to touch back. I clung to Agnes, feeling suffocated between their bodies. I was throughly groped. There is this film of disgust clinging to me as I write this. I still recall calloused hands sliding on my sweaty back. Barbs of a moustache on my nape.

I confess I had to get up and pace to calm my nerves, I am actually considering walking to the tram and take it to their town house. I would smoke but my lungs are complaining as of late, especially with the smog I have to wade through at work.
