It’s not insulated, either. It’s not designed for winter use But check out this very old, very cool lamp. It has an ungrounded outlet next to the pull chain This is the only electricity in any of the three bedrooms, a little two prong outlet that requires an argument with the concept of gravity.

A lamp on the wall, part of a pair positioned for each side of a bed. It is rectangular, with the long sides on the top and bottom. The lamp is ensconced in a milky glass and looks very mid-century modern. The switch underneath is a two-inch pull chain, and hiding in the shadows is an ungrounded power outlet.

These are one of my favorite things in the cabin ❤️

I figured this was a special enough occasion that I got us a room at the Pfister Hotel. Turns out it’s a gorgeous, historic hotel and the most luxurious one in the city 👀 Mostly I wanted to go to their spa lol
