Started the holiday this weekend and used a fair amount of my time drawing, when i should have been doing chores.

David Bowie in sepia colors, portrait, head only, digital. It gives mid century communist glory vibes.

Copying a style i saw on bluesky, line drawing of bruce cambell (as ash williams) in white with black accents on a light blue background. Smoke rises up behind him. Portrait, head only.

In progress, portrait of a dj i saw on youtube. Her bone structure is amazing. She was playing south american disco i. A room full of plants, and i wanted to incorporate some of the colors, so this head portrait is done in shades of green, yellow, maroon, and pink.

Finished Bowie as jareth the goblin king jn the movie Labryrinth. Bowie is in a sparkly blue jacket next to a woman dressed in a masque, tricorn hat and beige blouse. Begind the. Are ribbons hanging from the ceiling and chandeliers and a column.

An oldie, Unity/Squid, acrylic on canvas

A ghostly white squid floats on a dark background filled with a nebula in purple, orange, and blue. Stars dot the sky, some attached in random lines throughout the sky.

Today's lunch sketch. Ten year old me would be so stoked. I need to sharpen my pencils and throw a white pencil in the drawing kit though.

Pencil drawing of two blooming roses and one rosebud

This old lady cat found us just in time for the holidays. It is the cat distribution system at work. She very obviously was an indoor cat, but lost her home somehow. She is very pleased to be with us.

Old lady cat, yet to be named. A large tabby cat with big paws and dark rings on her tail. She is laying on a towel in the floor wirh a fish full of catnip.

Not finished, but it is probably my only bird. Digital.

A crow faces backwards and has mouth open in what is probably a caw

In progress. I wantednto do a blocky bowie with sepia tones. This is based on him in a movie role. I think he is coming along, but the eyes are giving me fits. I do it a lot less now, but Bowie is my favorite

A sepia toned, blocky portrait of David Bowie, based on a still from a movie.

I think I am done.

Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams in Evil Dead. Spooky trees that look like hands reach for him in the background.

Yes, I got a wee bit obsessed with Villains. But it fits the theme.

Bruce campbell as Ash Williams from Evil Dead. He has an ax slung over his shoulder and is holding a long gun in his other hand. He stands in front of a pinkish gold sun, with branches that resemble fingers reaching for jim. The background is a foggy purple ombre with black, skeletal trees

I started digital art in January of 24 and have been trying to draw every day for about three years now. To measure my progress, I draw Jareth the Golbin King from Labyrinth. I call it a Jareth test. Not done, started today, but it took hours already, so i'll come back to it.

Jareth the goblin king looks past a presumably pretty brunette wearing an Italian style half mask, at sarah, who is out of frame aka "we saw you across the room and really like your vibe"

Just chipping away. I feel like it is developing a very 60's dimestore novel look.

Ash update

Digital drawing of ash williams from evil dead. He is wearing his signature blue button up and brown pants, with an ax slung over one shoulder. He stands in front of a sunrise or sunset, which casts an eerie glow.

Figured i would post my in progress work at the moment.

The image shows ash williams with an ax over his shoulder and his shotgun in his other hand. The sky is a shifting mix of blues , pinks, and deep yellows featuring a pinkish orange sun? Moon?
