When Valar Atomics joined the lawsuit against the NRC, it argued its technology was so safe that a person could hold the spent nuclear fuel from its reactor in their hand and get the same amount of radiation as one would expect from a hospital CT scan.

This caught the attention of a lot of people online, including Nick Touran, a nuclear engineer who since 2009 has worked with TerraPower, a company that is also working on small modular reactor design, and also started the WhatIsNuclear.com site.

When Touran pointed out that claim could not possibly be true, Taylor responded by providing some calculations and chastising Touran, saying “Nick, a good engineer does not make claims about things he simply has no knowledge of.”

When Touran then looked at the new data, he saw that holding Valar’s spent fuel would result in a fatal dose in 90 seconds. Another nuclear engineer used a more advanced calculation method to argue the fatal dose would actually be as fast as 85 milliseconds.

Many people think that the words "Artificial Intelligence" are inaccurate, and very ineloquent, relative to Al, or Artificial Intelligence. A far more elegant and accurate description of this new phenomena would be Superior Intelligence (SI) or, Extreme Intelligence (El) or, Supreme Intelligence (SI). Hundreds line up for fast-food job fair

Nearly 1,000 people waited in line for hours recently to apply for 60 spots at a new In-N-Out burger restaurant in Mesa, Arizona.

The burger chain is hiring 60 employees to staff the new store at the Fiesta Mall.

"We've got some tough decisions to make," Ray Gonzalez, Arizona division manager for the chain, told KNXV-TV in Phoenix. "We've already talked to a lot of really quality people."

Most of the jobs are entry level and pay $10 per hour. One of the applicants was 36-year-old Lamont Herndon, who has been unemployed for three months. He is engaged to be married with a baby on the way. He recently had to sell his car, which he said he could no longer afford.

"I saw the sign on their new store and thought if I have to flip burgers to make money, I'll flip burgers to make money," he said. Read the report on KNXV
