hellemoller.bsky.social @hellemoller.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Whenever I see birds feasting on thistles and other wildflowers, I wonder who the heck decided those were weeds that should be replaced by unsustainable cultivated, often in hothouses, flowers and useless, non-native lawns. #tempelhoferfeld #handsofftempelhoferfeld #flughafentempelhof_thf 1145
hellemoller.bsky.social @hellemoller.bsky.social · 14/08/2026This Red-backed Shrike/Neuntöter/tornskade posed and performed nicely for me at length this morning. Shrike- (and Tempelhofer Feld-) fans can find more photos in this post www.hellemoller.eu/2026/08/12/h... hopefully early next week. #handsofftempelhoferfeld #grünberlin #campusstadtnatur 0102

hellemoller.bsky.social @hellemoller.bsky.social · 10/08/2026I went in search of a rare, highly endangered moth or butterfly (unfortunately, I have forgotten the name), which reportedly turns up on Tempelhofer Feld every year in August. I did not find it, so this will have to do for now :-). #handsofftempelhoferfeld #tempelhoferfeld 062

Of course the birding app is not always right, and cannot always tell the difference when some birds imitate other birds, but that is still an extraordinary number. #handsofftempelhoferfeld 1114
