The research was led by Imperial's Professor Leon Barron with Dr @helenarappwright.bsky.social and Earthwatch Europe's Dr Sasha Woods, Laura Bannatyne, Steven Loiselle and Kevin Simmonds. Earthwatch also enrolled 5000 citizen scientists with over a thousand sampling kits to test the UK’s waterways.
