The Ratepayer Protection Act is exactly what Congress is known for: all message and no substance. I want Congress to pass legislation with real teeth. Until then, I’m a NO on this bill.

Good news, folks, we just passed the Albuquerque Indian School Act through the Senate. Thank you to @repstansbury.bsky.social and the entire NM delegation for helping us get this far. Let's get this across the finish line and deliver for the pueblos and everyone who calls New Mexico home.

I love raw oysters and I love ice cream. But together? Hell NO!!! That’s what the administration is considering here. You can’t build a ballpark in Grand Teton National Park. It’s just wrong.

Enjoyed talking to New Mexicans about everything from education to health care to our public lands at my Constituent Coffee this week. It's hearing from New Mexicans about the issues that matter to them that helps me best fight for our state in D.C.

We are talking about major changes to how America builds energy and infrastructure. Getting that right has to matter more than election-year deadlines.

Our public lands are our shared inheritance, and we can make sure they are also our shared legacy. Let’s keep fighting together to protect our public lands. Happy National Public Lands Day!

We are very lucky that this failure occurred during unmanned testing. But we cannot leave the safety of workers up to luck. These types of critical failures need to be addressed proactively and transparently with workers.

New Mexico is home to America's first designated wilderness area, the Gila Wilderness. This National Wilderness Week, let's remember that appreciation for our public lands is something that unifies all Americans and that our wilderness areas are worth protecting.

At any point, Trump and Congressional Republicans could work with us to make health care more affordable and more accessible. Instead they do shit like this.

A good energy job doesn’t just power our homes and our economy — it powers the American dream. My Good Energy Jobs Act would make sure federal energy investments benefit the workers and communities that build energy projects, not just the companies developing them.

Blue graphic with white and yellow text reads:

If voluntary worked, we wouldn't have a problem.

If hyperscalers and other big tech companies need expensive new facilities and more energy, they should pay for it—not you.

And plenty of big tech companies have said that’s their plan. But we shouldn’t take their word for it.

That’s why I introduced the GRID Savings Act to require large load customers—like data centers—to pay for grid upgrades.

Not to consider it.

Not to make pledges about it.

To actually do it.

That’s what we need to bring down energy prices.

Today I voted against the CLARITY Act because it undermines Tribal sovereignty and threatens the revenues Indian Country depends on. I do not oppose digital market structure legislation, but any viable legislation absolutely must include commonsense protections for state and Tribal gaming rights.

Costco is rationing motor oil and the White House is shaking down mining companies for discount shares. I guess the red hats should have tipped us off that MAGA really IS socialism with a healthy dose of corruption thrown in for good measure.

We need to make sure we're investing in our greatest asset: the next generation. In New Mexico, we’ve done some incredible things over the last few years, but we’re just getting started. I joined NM Voices for Children and W.K. Kellogg Foundation to discuss what we can improve and how I can help.

I’m leading the NM Congressional Delegation in calling on Apple and Google to keep New Mexico as New Mexico on their maps. President Trump has no legal authority to rename our state. New Mexico’s name belongs to our people – not the president. The companies have until Sept 18 to publicly commit.

When we passed my Good Samaritan law, it was a major victory 25 years in the making. Now the first permit has been issued and we can get to work on cleaning up abandoned mines, improving water quality, and making communities safer and healthier.

A pretty incredible view of a project we fought for over a decade to make a reality. SunZia is delivering clean energy from New Mexico across the West — helping power homes, businesses, & communities. After 18 years of work to get here, seeing it from a Black Hawk today was pretty special.

Farmers are struggling to get basic services from an administration that promised to help them. In NM, that includes two farmers who saw their low-interest USDA loan put on hold, forcing them to go with a private lender, or risk losing the land, and taking on over $200K in interest.

I’ve wanted to visit the Boundary Waters for most of my life. After four days of paddling a canoe I barely scratched the surface. We paddled, we camped, I even caught a Northern Pike. I can’t imagine copper sulfide pollution ruining this wilderness. We're gonna fight this.
