This is Heidi. I wanted to name her Binx but she is adopted & when she was rescued from hoarders there were 50 cats living in disgusting conditions & every time they tried to catch her she kept finding hidey holes because she was scared. Hence the name Heidi. She answers to it & it fits.

I live in AR and live in a camper. I won’t go to a storm shelter because my cat can’t go. Not allowing pets in an air raid shelter, as long as they are on leashes or in crates, is cruel. If I lived and Heidi died, I would be inconsolable. Kudos to the pet parents who refuse to leave them behind

Funny you should say that. She was rescued from a hoarding situation in a mobile home with 49 others. She had never been around people, aside from her “caregivers”. When the rescuers were trying to get her out she kept hiding because she was scared. Hence the name.

We have bye bye cuddles and I let her know if I will be late. I tell her to have a good day at the office and no boys in the yard. If it’s hot out, I tell her either to have her fan club meeting in the morning or have it on Zoom. Yes, I’m single, 57 with a cat and I wouldn’t trade her.

Heidi doesn’t know she’s my reason for living some days. She does know I gently touch her at night to make sure she is in bed (she’s black & therefore a ninja in the dark). She doesn’t know how much I panic when she throws up or how much I miss her when I am away EVERYBODY KNOWS HER OR OF HER. 🐈‍⬛🥰❤️🐈‍⬛🥰

I feel the same. I think we rescued each other. Best $40 I ever spent. (I didn’t buy her, it’s the adoption fee to cover her having all shots, being spayed and treatments for worms/mites etc. )

Heidi likes to bring her live mice to bed to play with them. Why can’t she kill them like a normal cat ? Having a mouse run through your hair at 1am followed by a cat playing catch & release is not my idea of a good thing to wake up to. I told her if she brought it to bed again, it was mine.
