Public land advocates are working with Congress to protect Big Bend with a federal law. Encourage your Rep and 2 Senators to support a law banning destructive border infrastructure in Big Bend. More information and a sample script in alt text (click on photo below). 🌎
Call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 to be connected directly to your Rep and 2 Senators. Call anytime to leave a message. You'll be asked for your name and address.

Sample: My name is ____. My address is ____. I’m calling to urge [Representative/Senator name] to support a federal law to permanently protect Big Bend National Park from destructive border security infrastructure.

Big Bend National Park is a national treasure belonging to all Americans. It is one of the most remote and ecologically intact stretches of the U.S.–Mexico border, where harsh terrain already functions as a natural barrier. Physical barriers would permanently damage irreplaceable public lands, wildlife corridors, and archaeological sites — with little if any security benefits.

Please ask [Representative/Senator name] to stand against CBP's border security construction and to protect Big Bend with a federal law. Thank you.
