Taking a walk in the woods is best with a trusted companion. Even though they might turn out to be a bit un-enthusiastic. This is my latest Skruffy illustration. India inks and coloured pencils on 300 gsm mixed media paper. #traditionalart #fairytaleart #oc #darkfantasy

Thank you for your kind words and for reading my letter🥰! I think children are so well equipped taking such stories and just learning from them, being so young they don't know how to worry like adults😄

Rooster and Grasshopper. Ink and gouache on Fabriano Medioevalis, approximately 132 × 85 mm, 2022.

Silhouette illustration primarily in black ink of a crowing rooster, standing amid tall grasses. A grasshopper jumps into the air in front of the rooster. The rooster's comb and wattle are the one spot of red in the piece.

My head is out of the study books and I've lost my daytime job😳 So I've been figuring out what to do while making a vintage style, 18th century botanical illustration 🌱😃 Does anyone need a nature/ scientific illustrator with a penchant for the 18th century style?

A 18th century style botanical illustration showing two cucumbers hanging from a wine. The text in the description is from wikipedia, Cucumis sativus. Artist: Heiða Rafnsdóttir

He seems to want something from you. I dont think it's anything good. An illustration from ladt year for #folklorethursday

A painting of a moody, mystical merman in green and dark brown inks. He looks unnerving and is staring straight at the viewer with glowing eyes and mouth like he's whispering something scary.

☀️The Sun, older than everything ☀️ Print version, right, and original painting, left. Inks, black pastels, gouache and minor digital touchups. Very happy with how my Epson p900 is handling the warm, dark colours 🖨 #fantasyillustration #fantasyart

A photograph of a warm yellow and brown sheet of printed illustration in inks and black pastels, lying on a wooden table. The illustration shows a round face sitting in the middle of a brownish yellow background, surrounded by a dark brown frame. It's the Sun, with twirling swirls around it, looking like hair or rays of sunshine. Below the sun there lies a tight cluster of dark blueish green and round shaped clouds, some with vaguely shaped faces.

This is Squishy, a kind of a cross between a crustacean and a jellyfish. This is my first finalised personal illustration of the year! I talk about the process and about my goals for the rest of 2025, in my latest newsletter on my website. See link in comments. #fantasyart #fantasyartist

A top down photograph of a printed A4 size illustration, with white borders, lying on the tray of a black printer.

The illustration shows a yelowish-brown colored creature floating in a greenblue colored ocean, above brown seaweed.

The creature is kind of a cross between a crustacean and jellyfish and with airpockets growing out of its upper body. The creature has long jellyfish like tentacles hanging down from it's body and some ofbthese have airdrops hanging at the ends.

It is reminiscent of one of the Ohmu creature in the the Studio Ghibli film Nausicaa.

This house loves living on this wood covered hill. Still waiting for summer. Blackwing pencil on heavyweight paper. #illustrationartist #pencils #fantasyillustration

A photograph of a pencil drawing on white paper and a pencil made of wood lying on it. The drawing shows a tall house on a hill surrounded by a lawn, some bushes and tall leafless trees on either side. A Victorian style iron cast fence lies in front of the lawn and a couple of similarly looking lamp posts. A round moon is i the sky.
