My first Great Dane rescue was a tuxedo pup- a gorgeous girl like your Saffy who obviously had a wonderful life with you. Thank you for sharing your sweet memories.

Used to take my lab mix stray to Obedience Classes and play day. When we arrived everyone was calm. Turned out he was the "party boy". Almost had to carry him out at the end of play time as he was so pooped. He wasn't great at "patience training" either! Wonderful dog who gave us 12 years of love.

Years ago, small neighbor unveiled tooth in a box and I played tooth fairy. Later that day found out it was his brother's tooth. Such an entrepreneur! 🤣 The con job still makes me laugh!🤣

So sick of over zealous and frequent messagimg from doctors and dentists! Ironic that many of their systems/apps appear not to be tested. Their "seamless experience"entails more human intervention, error and exposure to hacking!😠

I have made it my mission to own/ adopt black dogs since recognizing the insanity of their unpopularity at shelters. Also, I think they are beautiful- 2 lab mixes and a Boston Great Dane.❤️

I remember and miss every dog I have owned. I lasted three weeks without one after my 12 year and 13 year old rescues were euthanized within months of each other. Then, I adopted 2 more rescues. They are the loves of my life but I still remember the ones who preceded them.

I have made a point of adopting / rescuing black dogs through the years - Belgian Shepherd; Great Dane and 2 Lab mixes. Loved them all!

Heather Ann @hedyann.bsky.social · 24/12/2025

Is she a Belgian Shepherd (Groenendael)? They are great dogs .

They are beautiful. Water every two days. They are tropical plants so will not survive freezes. I leave bulbs in pots and overwinter in garage and do not water during this time. Bring them outside when danger of frost is over and the cycle continues.

Lasted 3 weeks without a dog last September. Adopted a Weimaraner mix and two days later a lab mix. Love them and still miss the ones before them!

Have never had disease or insect problem with Abelia. They do need space to accommodate "draping" foliage and look their best.

Should be installed with overly sensitive automatic hand towel dispensers - "one sheet for you and one for the floor" .

I enjoy over-sensitive soap dispensers activated by items laid 3 feet away on sink surround - messy! Ingenious design skill in that one.

She's random on 1/2 acre backyard. Hoping she might lose interest but she "scents" the moles and heaven knows what else (maybe insects or earthworms). I love her dearly and dutifully fill her holes with topsoil. She reacts to verbal scolding so maybe I can "shame" her out of it. 🤔

Heather Ann @hedyann.bsky.social · 13/05/2025

Adopted a proficient hole digger some months ago. Will just buy more topsoil...

And then there is the "donated" clothing , passed on with a good heart, that ends up "dumped" in African countries. Much is synthetic and doesn't decompose readily. We live in a "disposable" society. society.greenchoicelifestyle.com/donated-clothes-in
