Inauthentic pandering for votes in public is not the same as actual policy. If you don't think the Democratic party has a problem when a crazy billionaire felon comes off as more relatable, I'm not sure what to tell you. People believed Bill Clinton's "I feel your pain." That's not today's party.

In 586 BCE, the Babylonian Empire under the leadership of Nebuchadnezzar conquered Jerusalem, destroying the First Temple and exiling many Jews from our ancient homeland. This is what Babylon looks like today. And Jerusalem is still the beating heart of a reborn and thriving Jewish state.

Of course, this is what Pharaoh Merneptah looks like these days. And there's a Jewish state with its capital in Yerushalayim thriving in the present day. Everyone thinks their rhetoric is new, but we've been dealing with it since this guy was walking and talking, and before. Jews are forever.

Every time I read or hear something about how the world is against Israel or Zionists or Jews, I think of this piece of engraved stone from about 3,200 years ago: the Merneptah Stele. The first non-biblical mention of Israel. And the first time someone ever claimed they'd destroyed us.
