Pete Goulding looks like if Wright Thompson was given a visor and not a fedora, and that changed *everything*

Can't promise not dumb, but at least not angry: Tyler Shough for MVP?

I kept waiting for them to explain his new hair style, and they didn't! Because they didn't need to! But I think the discipline to focus on the heart of the story and not focus on Blanc is symbolic of how this third film maintained its focus. His hair is also very good, tho.

I get the Sauce Gardner trade is big and all, but I hope @minakimes.bsky.social and/or Lenny gets a chance to reflect on this historic moment.

The Saints⚜️did it! Over $100mil in dead money in a single season! Laissez les bons temps rouler!

If it was an SEC football scenario, I could see 1) the scam guys have a personal pride/ego and see an opportunity, 2) they hear from Uncle Dennis the need to do this, 3) they feel like they can "own" part of the bragging rights if the Clips win, and 4) they know they can't tell Ballmer. Plausible

000

Daniel aka Hedge @hedge.hungriboi.haus · 06/09/2025

It makes sense that Ballmer has every incentive to not know. But the scammer seem like they have so much incentive to at least let him and/or the Clips know. It's super hard to square total silence.

Daniel aka Hedge @hedge.hungriboi.haus · 06/09/2025

At *best*, this is a deep failure of the NBA to anticipate a cap circumvention method. If Ballmer and/or Clips have no responsibility to make sure key partners are not doing this, then even if it's legal it's still sketchy. If this isnt addreessed, it poses a huge risk to the image of the league.

Daniel aka Hedge @hedge.hungriboi.haus · 06/09/2025

I buy that Uncle Dennis maybe orchestrated, and that the Aspire guys took the lead. Also, the internal team using the cap circumvention idea to shut up team members. But the scammers doing this, never making Kawhi do anything, and it never coming to the attention of Ballmer? I just do not get that

Fun convo between @pablo.show and @mcuban.bsky.social on PTFO. After the convo, I am def a bit more on the 'Ballmer Maybe Didnt Know' side. Seems too dumb of a plan for him to be involved. That said, it's hard to buy that no one on the Clippers knew, or that the scam guys would keep this silent.

🥹❤️‍🩹 Great read by a consistent great. Sums up why we care about this stuff so well, even when it breaks our heart.

Doris, Mike, and Richard are pretty good, tho

In this era where ESPN seemingly does three or four different broadcasts of college football games, they could put up a second show for halftime so we could have...not this. I'd even listen to the Manning Cast over this halftime crew.

I very much want the Pacers two win two more games. Worst case scenario, at least the #takes stop sooner?

It’s weird how all these NBA teams don’t want the Knicks to steal their coaches!

I am kinda nervous that #StarWars is going to have its own Dark Knight problem: Andor (like the Dark Knight) is so good that everyone thinks future content should all be gritty and serious. Though I like Andor, I think Skeleton Crew, Mandalorian, and Ahsoka afe great, too! More of everything!

I haven’t checked the advanced stats, but the NFL Draft must have the highest percentage of ‘dudes who wear plastic chains around their neck’ of any sporting event all year

This is a great addition and seems like a smart way to do this.

I think it’s OK to go up to space and it’s great to celebrate the women who went and also wish that the owner of that company would pay more taxes.

Love to see the win today and the Pacers get to 50 wins. Now on to the playoffs!

I think there are a lot of things to say about all the 1 seeds in Men’s College Basketball making the Final Four, but one clear takeaway: the selection committee was spot on, and therefore picking UNC in the last spot must have been the right call, too.

Just a spectacular answer by @alexmcdaniel.co on which frat that Ransom would be in. As a late 2000s Delta Psi, ALEX ISN’T WRONG FYI, Big Screen Sports is v good, esp the Ted Lasso episodes. Would recommend a listen. open.spotify.com/episode/14IE...

FWIW, I do agree with KD on this one. I don’t think the All-Star Game is great these days, but I really don’t see why we have to spend a full week discussing it.

I think it's good that Milchick is trying kindness, but if I was in charge, I would pretend that LeBron was a former Lumon employee or something and as special treats show them his games. Seems like a better strategy. Inspirational imo! @benstiller.redhour.com u can use this idea in S3, if u want.

I am thankful that Indy has such capable, caring people working on this project. Moving forward is important. But remembering who we have been while moving forward is one way to build a city that is inclusive of everyone. IMHO

If a streaming service wanted to jump in on this moment, a "Who is the Real #1 Bob Dylan Hater?" show where people spent weeks making their case for being the biggest Bob Dylan Hater would be interesting content.

Another piece of evidence: the website crashes during big news events. Bring back the Fail Whale! I think it was important cultural currency to understand when an event really had people talking.

Is there a modern precedent for this Man City thing where a team went from being so good to long, sustained losing? This is a pretty wild sitch.
