Florian Glatz @heckerhut.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Network effects have always been hard. I hope with Freedom we can bring them to some well-deserving protocols but alas we have to figure out adoption too. 000
Florian Glatz @heckerhut.bsky.social · 02/10/2026It just takes time. Freedom browser would not exist without AI and same is true for many other experiments happening right now. In 5-10y the world will look very different to today, better in some ways, worse in others. Outside of software - just biology alone, we‘ll have insane advances. 200

Florian Glatz @heckerhut.bsky.social · 09/09/2026What’s only partially solved is dynamic web apps with a decentralized back end on Swarm/IPFS. Freedom is first in making that possible with window.swarm API that a website can use to store data on Swarm on behalf of the user, effectively simulating a backend. 001
Florian Glatz @heckerhut.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Static websites are an entirely solved problem, both on swarm and ipfs. What’s not solved is making it easy for anyone to deploy to these networks. Freedom already makes it a lot easier to publish to swarm but imho it’s still too hard. Working on making that fool proof right now. 300
Florian Glatz @heckerhut.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Looks very interesting - I’ll have a deeper look at this. Are there any communities actively using this? 300
Florian Glatz @heckerhut.bsky.social · 09/09/2026the open web is dying while at the same time being reborn on a p2p infrastructure 322
Florian Glatz @heckerhut.bsky.social · 08/09/2026seems it’s indeed solved but authorship appears to be a major drama and involve some form of idea/data/prompt theft by oai 100

Florian Glatz @heckerhut.bsky.social · 03/09/2026imho thats the wrong path. we really want ASI broadly distributed so people can figure out how to cure all diseases and harness power from nuclear fusion. sure there are risks but there are also risks in continuing the economic stagnation western societies are suffering under. 100
Florian Glatz @heckerhut.bsky.social · 03/09/2026The similarities between AI today and crypto‘s adolescence 5-10y ago are striking. The only difference might be that this time tokens have actual utility. 010
