Why is Splatoon so Cute?

TWINKLING 🦑⭕️ [Comms open] @heavysplatlingyaoi.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Not a usual post but I am low on cash so I am selling this Tenna cosplay head I made last year as I don't plan to finish the cosplay. Its never been worn. 3D modeled and printed by me. Please comment or message me if interested. Looking for ~225$ (USD) but I'm open to offers. #cosplay #deltarune

People using the Splatoon player model viewer should totally commission one of the various talented people that make #splatblend renders if you want 3D renders of your characters. Just a suggestion. Maybe even insisting.

"Realistic" inkling hands. Modeled from scratch. Took me 6 hours. I hate hand topology and I hate breathing. Placeholder material. #wip

Updated Yuzu(ta) ref sheet. Could've fit more in here, but he's not as developed as my main guy. Info might change in the future, but this is the most updated reference. #splatoon #splatblend #oc

When regarding OC stories in writing, is there such thing as making a ton of short self-contained stories that are out of order but are apart of the same "project"? Then figuring out how they connect after the fact. I know there's an option for "series" on AO3, but I've never seen it used like this

YOU DON'T "CONSUME" ART MOTHERFUCKER. YOU EXPERIENCE IT. YOU FEEL IT. YOU ENGAGE WITH IT. YOU WRESTLE WITH IT. YOU LIVE IT. ART ISN'T A LITTLE MORSEL YOU GOBBLE UP.

I find it funny that despite being more evolved and humanoid looking, inkfish are canonically fucking stupid. Jellyfish are the ones that build the infrastructure and run the government. Do the jellies take inspiration from human society, or do they just do it because the inkfish resemble them?

Hi, I made little Salmon Run pins out of resin. I only have a few now, but if they're popular I'll make more and maybe larger versions in the future. There is a 5% discount for each egg added to cart, in case you want a whole collection of them :) #splatoon #splatoonart #salmonrun

Considering how many locations have been renovated/repurposed into stages in the Splatoon universe, when it comes to OCs I feel like there is potential there. Like, imagine them returning to their favorite childhood location only for it to be repurposed into a battlefield.

(cw: body horror implications..?) Sometimes I wonder how ink transformation happens. We've seen it happen canonically, but it hasn't ever been elaborated on. Considering different colored ink damages inkfish, how the hell do they switch? There's probably a split second where it's painful at least.

Fixed it... small change but it would've pissed me off if I didn't because this sort of blew up.

I don't really do reposts because I prefer to leave comments. When I do that, it also pushes it into other people's feeds and encourages them to continue the conversation. If I repost without adding anything, it's not any different than you stumbling across the post naturally.

Me and who? 🦑📷Sylvain Le Bris (www.inaturalist.ca/observations...)

Two European Squid (Loligo vulgaris) swimming next to each other. They are squid shaped and have their arms held together. They are pointing towards the right. The closer one is larger and has a orangish red colour, while the farther one is smaller one is white and pink. They both have some green iridescent parts especially around the eyes. There are see plants on the ground, which appears to be a coarse sand.

Something I haven't seen talked about a lot in regards to the Splatoon manga is the canon ink colors. By that I mean, the exact shades. While we could just color-pick from the cover art, since almost all of the characters are based on promotional characters, we can just use THEIR ink colors, right?-

Please tag your posts with the keywords "raiders" or "spoilers" so I can actually avoid them!! Post labling does nothing if people have it set to show by default. I dont want to have to avoid BSKY until the raiders talk dies down. Please properly tag your posts.
