I took my dog for a walk early this morning. It was dark, crisp, and clear. As we approached the park, through the shadows between streetlights, we watched two deer race out of the park, across the street, and away. Never seen deer here before. It felt like a bit of Christmas magic just for me.

What's the best compliment you've had recently? I occasionally share book recommendations on a group text. When I added my latest list, someone replied saying they'd gotten every one from a previous list and loved them, so they were going to request this whole batch too.

Honestly, I am so disinterested in any kind of AI output, you wouldn't believe. There is more human made content in existence than I could ever watch or play or read.. And I don't know why I should spend MY precious time with things nobody loved or believed in enough to spend their own on.
