Really liked this picture from turn 3 of my last game. My Shield Captain was very brave.

HeartShapedTear @heartshapedtear.bsky.social · 18/05/2026

This was my favourite moment from the tournament btw. Turn 4, Defiler charges my Caladius Grav-Tank, so I overwatch as a last resort. There's a 6. Then a 5. Failed saving throw. I roll a 5 for damage, dealing 7 wounds, killing it. 1CP auto blows up. Kills grav tank. Cinema.

Since cover gives -1 to hit now, ignores cover on flamers essentially does nothing until your faction gets their codex. Sure. Whatever.

All packed into their trays and ready to do the Emperor proud tomorrow. I love these girls, very proud of this force.

Open the codex to the best Shield Host and instantly my brain zooms in on the "her" shining from the bottom of the page. Emmissaries Wokeperatus.

Didn't buy any warhammer this month, but bought some quality of life stuff to help with tournaments! Wireless charger + Powerbank on a deal alongside a Custodes codex!

New Custodes detachments are exactly what I thought they'd be. I'll be using the Dreadnought one alongside the current Shield host detachment ⚡️🦅

I'm going to be honest, the 11th edition "hidden" rule is very confusing to me.

130

HeartShapedTear @heartshapedtear.bsky.social · 14/05/2026

Surely you can still prime and paint this yourself as if it was bare plastic? I can't imagine the pre paint would be very thick.

HeartShapedTear @heartshapedtear.bsky.social · 14/05/2026

I'm pretty mediocre at normal painting but bases is where I go all out. I dubbed these ones "feudal world countryside" for my Emmissaries Imperatus Custodes. Really proud of them.

Got 11 regulars left after these that need a pass to get to battle ready. Then I need to figure out wtf I’m doing for all the army heraldry and markings and go back through the 40, THEN I can hit them with the enamels and hopefully fix how flat they all look. THEN I can deal with the last 5 heroes…

While the battle cry isn't cannon, and I'm aware it's not: I'm gonna still keep using it. It's a brilliant battle cry, and emphasises the Lamenters uniqueness in the setting. Their compassion, hope and love is what makes me collect them. For those we Cherish...

Heres a challenge. Aiming for a starter 1k list. The theme is "5th Company's last stand" This is the blood angels combat patrol, plus units id like to paint/use for lore reasons. I have 80 points left (95 points if I take out the enhancement) how best do I use it.

Considering designing a wargame about tiny anthropomorphic animals- in 40mm scale- fighting battles in people's gardens/driveways/parks. The factions would be split into various British animal classifications: Creepy crawlies, birds, bugs, prey mammals, predator mammals etc
