As an Australian (albeit from a different state), it was rather nice seeing Untitled Goose game's credits pointing out the Victorian support they got.

Twenty-sided Tavern, a very fun improv DnD show at the Sydney Opera House Studio. For the venue itself, CO2 was not great, not the most terrible. The rowdy show meant more audience exhalations than a normal play or musical. It's also smaller than the usual places with better quality.
View from the seat towards the stage, where the show title is projected on a wide screen. The venue is darkened.Aranet CO2 graph, starting from mid 800 at 1400, plateauing around 1100 from 1430 until show's end at 1630

This Drager 1920 with a half-torn strap was brand new. First time I've seen damage/defect like that in the last couple of years. Well that's why there are spares! Been using a new one daily (two if it's a long day) for the last month on the road in the Japanese winter. Nice comfy units.
A brand new Drager 1920 m mask, still not unfolded, place on the table. Near where the two ends of the strap is meant to be welded to form a loop, there is a tear that is almost half the thickness of the strap.

Even though it is mostly empty, there has been at least a couple of occasional coughers onboard throughout.

Nozomi Shinkansen, Hiroshima to Tokyo. The green car is maybe 20% occupied so the CO2 level has been decent. Plenty of time to have lunch onboard but we had a big enough breakfast to sidestep the risk altogether.

WILL you still have a Covid policy in 2025?

Yes. Charmed! acknowledges that world governments and a majority of public spaces are now choosing to treat Covid-19 as a harmless illness with no long-term ramifications for infected people. We acknowledge that, and we reject it. We will continue to provide as safe an environment as we can for our in-person attendees, and this will almost certainly mean that we will require up-to- date Covid vaccinations for attendees as well as in- person masking. We recommend subscribing to our newsletter as the most efficient way to receive updates about this, and other policies.

If any event you're going to has a terrible Covid-19 policy, I invite you to shame them by pointing out an EROTIC HYPNOSIS CONFERENCE does a better job than them.

Graphic of Santa and his reindeers entering a wormhole.

A rival theory on how Santa delivers gifts to millions of households in one night is the "Spacetime Santa model."

Physicist Chad Orzel says Santa uses wormholes to tunnel through spacetime. The tunnels are crafted to appear in households on Christmas Eve, but Santa and his team enter the wormholes with gifts on different days of the year.

The wormhole mouth is located in the chimney, where no one is likely to be standing in the wee hours of Christmas morning.

The delightful GEAR non-verbal theatre show made for a lovely way to bring in Christmas in Kyoto this year. The show itself is a weaving together of multiple performance and circus type arts into a charming and visually stunning tale. Highly recommended!
Five colourfully dressed actors (men in all red, yellow, green, blue, and woman in rainbow ballerina dress with santa shoulder cloak) smiling at the crowd while sitting on a stage covered with so much paper it is like snow. The show itself is not Christmas themed but this is from a post-show Christmas themed session where the audience is allowed to take photos.

On the way to the Jupiter Trojans asteroids.
NASA Lucy Spacecraft’s second Earth gravity assist (EGA) dramatically alters the spacecraft’s trajectory, enabling it to travel through the Jupiter Trojan asteroids. Lucy’s trajectory prior to the EGA is shown in solid red, while the trajectory afterward is shown by a dashed red curve. The orbits of the nearby planets are shown for reference, and the grey regions indicate the approximate location of the main asteroid belt and the leading (L4) Jupiter trojan asteroids.
The main belt asteroid, Donaldjohanson, and the Trojan asteroid, Eurybates, are shown at the time of Lucy’s encounters. Credit: NASA/SwRI
