Many headteachers are thinking about fresh routines for the year ahead — diet, meditation, exercise, hydration. All great ideas, and they can help. But they don’t tackle the real challenge: actually getting a break. Sometimes, what you need most is just 10 minutes of uninterrupted rest.

Since then, I’ve been trying to secure another role, but I’m finding it really hard to get back in. I’ve applied for other headteacher posts, but also for roles where I’d be happy to take a step back and rebuild my confidence.
