You’re saying that as if rebeling against the environment isn’t still being a product of it. They were still molded by the environment, it’s just that “this sucks, I need to get out of here or change things” is a natural response to being in an environment.

Well “perfer to live in reality” might be the wrong term. I’m more of a “have no choice but to live in reality with any attempt to escape into fantasy being more a temporary vacation that ends as soon as I have to pay bills or help a sick relative”.

Honestly, do think that was the best he could have done. This situation has no clean answers, but a warning and making it so you’re not making money off of him does a lot to prove you’re distancing yourself from him without making it look like you’re pretending he was never there.

I was thinking it’d be a long time before another GOP victory would ever happen after Jan 5th. I guess 4 years is a very long time for the average American. Then again, maybe the changes to the world order this time causes will be a more permanent in their memories this time around.
