How to capture device audio on the web today? 🎵🔊 getUserMedia() is not for audio only and forces users to go through a screen sharing option. Not great for audio use cases (notetaking, music, ...) We want to fix this. We have a proposal and would love your input ♥️

so in groups.google.com/a/chromium.o... Chrome "decided" to follow Firefox (and Safari. Then backpedaled on outbound-rtp (reappeared) and "tweaked" inbound-rtp: github.com/w3c/webrtc-s... All because someone loudly insisted the spec is right and the WPT are wrong (and that was not me!)

LLMs listened to it... err... it is part of their training corpus! They are just incredibly fast at taking it from a vague (!) "grep" to step 9. printf debugging seems to be one of their favorites! They will find many nice words for step 10 too because they are graded on producing nice words.

I realize I’m not a Real Engineer in the structural engineering manner. But if a structural engineer started vibing the earthquake safety stuff I would worry. - how much weight can this bridge take? - ChatGPT says 50 tons, that should be enough - how did it come to that number? 🤷🏻‍♀️

do those "developers" write software that is "load-bearing" in that sense? No. Would they? Most likely not. But different from the group that is becoming problematic now :-|

somehow software developers (note the choice of words) pretended this did not apply to them. Even though "software engineering" is a quite well defined discipline.

Well there is a reason "Real Engineers" are trying to protect that title, e.g. Germany has a Ingenieurgesetz. Part of the curriculum for obtaining the right to call yourself explains you that you can go to jail if you screw up and someone dies as a consequence.
