it's a vpn based on wireguard that lets you connect to your infra without needing to port forward (usually) on your devices. they connect using their hostname, or the IP assigned to them and you can setup ACL rules to configure what users and devices can access

iirc none of the methods that allow installing tailscale on UniFi hardware allow installing on the travel router. however, there shouldn’t be any issues running tailscale on the connected devices

while it's not a perfect solution, you can use subnet routers to access idrac remotely. it's what i do to access mine and it works great
