I don’t think newer rap fans understand too much of a good thing. They want the same high from artists releasing multiple times a year and that’s just impossible. I remember I got burnt out on Doom in ‘04/‘05 and that dude is one of the goats.

As an avid record collector I got bit by the 45 bug for only a year, I built a pretty strong collection, Doris And Kelly, The Webs and Reuben Bell still stand in my mind as the best soul music ever pressed to wax. Sadly sold my 45 box around the time my son was born.

Producers are still getting mileage off of joints from the Soul Boulder mixes. Volume 1 in particular was devastating to my brain, up there with Brain Freeze, Off Track by Kon and Amir, Muro/Soul Man/Conmen and other rare record related mixes of importance.
