And yes, I think making fun of incompetent world leaders is a good thing. And I know the dissonance between the hypothetical political art and art of a cute anime girl that wasn't even created by JKR

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

I hope the lesson that was learned is that “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”. If we take a hypothetical: should one harass an artist for making art that makes fun of Trump? The message is positive, but the image has problematic roots. Something to think on.

"[game]-dle" players love to be like "oh this game really requires brain power" and then you watch some guy go "hmm, huuh, eerrm" and then 30 seconds later he just guesses the answer by chance and then they're like "see the thing is-"

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

I just find the tribalism ancient. We could flip the logo placements and it would happen exactly that way anyway. Noone can deny anonymous and malicious actors stalk on both sites.

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

The main thing to celebrate is that the harassers lost. They couldn't silence her. Regardless of who the harassers really were; whether malicious, overzealous or both.

020

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

The fact that this short back and forth between you and me has landed squarely back to “left versus right” is exactly the shortsightedness you seem to warn against and lacks the introspection you ask of others. My observation and following expounding isn’t a call to arms for you or me.

000

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

I don’t appreciate being “you guys”-ed on either here or Twitter. I like her art. For all I know, you were part of the brigade that chased her away and are now taking advantage of the fallout to smoke out innocent bystanders. But neither of us will ever know for sure. So keep your accusations.

020

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Something like: “Malfoid” is already several steps reimagined from JKR’s HP; a genderbent anime style tsundere love interest. How can this be considered to be in support of JKR’s ideals? Enough so as to harass an artist unrelated to JKR by several magnitudes of separation?

100

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I don’t think that is the question to be asking. The question should be related to the “degrees of separation” of this situation. Not sure how it would be worded. More akin to the “don’t shoot the messenger” adage. I feel the need to point out that the “you guys” feels unnecessarily aggressive.

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I guess I'm just airing out my observations. It's heartbreaking that the loud and overzealous managed to drive away a staunch supporter. Like, Yunayu migrated TO BlueSky in the beginning and drew art in support OF trans people.

260

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

This was never in contention. Either way, the harassers lost. Everyone can continue to appreciate the art regardless of where it is.

010

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

That's all I want in the end. We don't choose our public spaces to get harassed at.

030

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I think you misunderstand the connection between art and politics. I can make a stick figure right now in my computers Paint software. That has no politics inherent in its creation. Politics only manifests in art when it is used for a purpose regarding politics, either by artist or by beholder.

100

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

That's exactly what I mean. Yunayu would rather repost on a site that has exactly what you're saying and delete their BlueSky account. That was the more tolerable option to her.

3201

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

It's quite vexing that X has the more tolerable reaction in this equation.

3240

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Quite telling that Yunayu would rather reupload on X than BlueSky. Still, a good thing that she feels safe enough at all to do it regardless.

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Sad that the wrong crowd got to Yunayu. Deleting art to silence harassers just emboldens the wrong message. People still seem to think all art is inherently political when artists sometimes just draw cute girls.

You can Ult out of Adam Smasher's Sandevistan lockdown move (The one where he freezes your character specifically). And it's so cool if you own Augusta. Like an Uno Reverse card moment.

So nice of CDPR to stick to their guns and not let KuroGames, or anyone really, to make David a playable character to preserve his story. 'Preciate not having hope.

You don't know real cope until you've theorized ways to justify Phrolova's Somnoire plan specifically for David, Lucy and Rebecca.

I need ZZZ to lock in and finally give me the option to retcon Wise as MC now that Pyrois exists. It sucks that even though both twins exist in the story, 1 is practically relagated to non-existance. They need to matter more or just let us swap.

I keep making the mistake of taking a peek over the fence towards Twitter. It's painful that people are trying to defend the small uses of GenAI when that itself is a problem. If it's "just" small background worldbuilding that requires no real effort then WHY even use GenAI in the first place?

Is WuWa seriously gonna be the 1st collab game to convince CDPR to break the contractual obligation to never include David? Please make Rebecca free, my wallet begs.

They had the wherewithal to voice the playable characters bickering about helping one of them sneak by a shop on the way but not enough to AI generate a movie poster that people, who actually like real media, won't clock the microsecond they see it.

000

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

The game opens with a good first impression too, it's so sad. In one of the first missions you do, what is essentially your squadron, all walk out to go to the objective and cute little moments and convo's happen along the way. The characters actually existed and didn't just phase to the area.

100

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

It makes no sense to me that NTE would turn to AI to pump out fake movies and posters when they literally just had to do PowerPoint slides like ZZZ. Toss your 3D models into Blender, play action figures for a spell and use WordArt for a movie poster. Why even risk plagiarism?

Seeing opinions online starting to bubble to the surface about FFXIV's story. If you want to skip an admittedly long journey, please do so; just know you forfeit the right to critique it. In order to critique media you HAVE to experience it. It is a NON-NEGOTIABLE part of the flowchart.

Haytch @haytchie.bsky.social · 25/04/2026

I cannot believe they actually went and gave us an opt-in simplified skillset for jobs in FFXIV. They even gave DRG the Sky High PvP skill in regular rotation. The game is gonna feel snappier when Evercold releases. They might successfully make tab targeting *feel* like action combat.

Arknights: Endfield sidequest spoiler. There's a sidequest in Endfield where you fix a music player and if you choose the retro option is plays the RIIC (Base) music from the original Arknights. I had to triple take to make sure I wasn't going insane.
