HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 12/10/2026The greatest director the FBC has ever had. Beans! 000
Reposted by HawkmothMoonLaurenWalshArt @laurenwalshart.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Use reference. I’m serious. I get it that somehow you or someone convinced you that using reference is “cheating.” It’s not. You are just hindering yourself. 196109833109
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I have been working through s3 of Foundation and Silo and s1 of Widows Bay. I’ve read the Wool books so I vaguely remember where the show adaptation is going; never read Asimov’s books so I was surprised by the Mule twist. And the Brother Darkness gorefest. And Demerzel! Also love this fit 110

Reposted by HawkmothMoonporeyneel || rest @poreyneel.bsky.social · 24/09/2026It's Control Resonant day my dudes! Thank you Remedy for your incredible and hard work, still can't believe we're getting the sequel for one of the most unique and inspiring games!! Let's never stop creating and let the art thrive! Wishing you all the best <3 #CONTROLResonant 14522
Reposted by HawkmothMoonVƎX Werewolf @vexwerewolf.bsky.social · 07/10/2026The fact that Dylan Fayden is sad, guilt-ridden, bereft and highly emotional makes him infinitely more interesting than basically every other male protagonist out there right now. There's a whole sidequest about drawing scenes from the life he never got to live and it's great. 41717
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I thought the VA did a fantastic job. Dylan is awkward and “off” but it would be weird if he WASN’T. He was locked inside for 24 years! 020
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Anyway, overall I really enjoyed the game. I’d give it an 8/10. - needs a photo mode - finish up or expand the mold threat - give Dylan a hot dog - let us find Darling and beat him to death with our magic hammer 000
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026It was for me, a musical hater, the equivalent of a show springing a musical episode on you. Again, I understand WHY they chose the style; I just didn’t like it. 000
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Like, a very Silent Hill-like entity. Which I don’t recall ever seeing or reading any sort of hints about earlier in the game or in the previous game. I think a better stylistic choice, if they wanted to use this non-standard game style, would be in the charcoal style Dylan used. Visual novel? 210
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026My biggest “ughhh, oh no” was the “Rebuild” mission at the end of the game. The one that goes into their childhood. While I understand WHY they went with that stylistic choice… I didn’t like it. It felt painfully clunky to play. It also introduced an entity that I was just baffled by? 100
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Alright, for the stuff I was less enthused about. The taxi quest took you all over Manhattan and dimensions, and then… basically felt unresolved. Did we even get a badge for that? It feels like Mila’s story is either meant to continue in DLC, or they rushed this side quest/didnt finish 100
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I also think we could use some DLC with the Mold. It’s clearly a problem, on par with the Patterning and the Hiss. So… a big DLC that finally handles this in some way would be cool. 100
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I really liked that we got a civilian NPC in the game! Doctor Florez is great. She’s understandably confused by *gestures broadly* all the shit happening but takes it in stride and focuses first and foremost on her patients. Would love some DLC with her character! 110
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Sadly I did not see my Finnish janitor buddy Ahti other than in a postcard hinting at his current location. Maybe some DLC? 👀 100
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I won’t go into ALL of the characters seen or mentioned in the game so as to not go into spoilers. My buddy Langston, the Panopticon supervisor, is in the game and has some fun side quests. The “Fred” quest has a familiar game 1 paranatural being return for more silly adventuring. 100
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Anyway I’m a basic bitch so yes I’m a Dylan/Zoe fan now. Leave me alone 120
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Most of his dialogue was with Zoe, who I ADORED. She’s smart, funny, and trying to be a handler for likely the most powerful human on earth. Their relationship goes from agent and handler to something deeper over the game, and it’s really sweet. Music to guide him out of the sinkhole? My heart 😭 110
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Dylan is however endearing. He’s funny. He’s trying his best, dangit! I liked how the dialogue options could be more serious or more silly, more jaded or more hopeful. 100
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Now, the characters! Jesse is one of my all time fav protagonists and I was surprised how quickly I adjusted to playing as Dylan. He’s painfully awkward, he’s terrified of fucking up when he already knows people hate him, he’s anguished by the violence he caused when possessed. 100
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026The visualizations used for the Hiss in the first game and here as well as the patterning visuals are really beautiful. 110
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026The Underpass area had a very House of Leaves/Resolution/The Endless vibe to it that I really liked and leaned more into the cosmic horror element. The Unknown was another hard to traverse area but good lord it was cool. 110
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026The more abstract and fucked up and Inception-y and fractalized Manhattan got, the better. That being said, it certainly made transversal challenging as hell. I didn’t get motion sickness but it was disorienting and confusing. Which makes sense, but is sometimes frustrating. 110
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I’m a range player. Magic spells and arrows and rifles. I don’t like getting up close and personal with enemies. BUT! The Aberrant is a very cool weapon. Honestly, I didn’t really explore all too much with the forms. I just smashed guys with the hammer and set other guys on fire. 110
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Lemme start off by saying I am not a person who plays games FOR the combat. I know I just beat Elden Ring like a month ago, but combat is genuinely purely neutral to me in games. I like stories, the characters interactions, puzzles, and settings. The combat was TOUGH at times; often repetitive. 100
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Alright! I’ve finished Control Resonant. Lots of thoughts. Overall really enjoyed it. Death Stranding and Control are my two favorite games. I LOVED their sequels, but not with the same devotion as I do the originals. I’ll keep this as spoiler-free as possible! 170
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Honestly impressed how normal most of these people are after being locked inside their workplace fighting dimension ghosts for 7 years. Would totally understand if their fashion was more unhinged tbh 010
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 06/10/2026It’s probably just a glitch but I like to think this FBC agent just stuck a jaunty little leaf in his helmet for ✨fashion✨ 130
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 06/10/2026My favorite silly paranatural entity from the first Control game is back! 020
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Control Resonant continues the sprinkling in of amazing silly dialogue of the first game 000
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Also for my horror movie nerds, the Underpass area of Control Resonant reminded me a bit of movies like Resolution/The Endless by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead 000
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Underpass area of Control Resonant reminded me of House of Leaves a bit 100
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 02/10/2026The exasperation in Zoe’s voice when she finally realizes that man is gonna keep eating mold he finds in various cursed locations 020
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Dylan is trying to remain on everyone’s good side by taking on their rescue requests including what is almost DEFINITELY not a cat for Langston 000
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Zoe’s like “have you ever interacted with humans before” 000
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Zoe’s like “have you ever interacted with humans before” 000
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Really love the banter between Dylan and Zoe. Get this man a hotdog 001
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I hope Selena and Hannah are also in the film 🖤 020
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Alright back to work but look at this guy. Worlds gone to hell and he’s standing in the pouring rain drawing pictures 010
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Gotta inspect the fairy circle made of computer mice 011
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 30/09/2026The floating bodies never stop being disturbing 000
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 30/09/2026The game is so disorienting once you can walk up walls and upside down and whatnot. It’s great. 000
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 30/09/2026A little David Lynch reference in Control Resonant! 000
HawkmothMoon @hawkmothmoon.bsky.social · 30/09/2026My buddy Langston is in Control Resonant and I’m very happy about that. He’s such a weirdo. Love that 000
