Let me educate bluesky on something. Guns don't cause people to kill. People don't see a gun, and say to themselves "oh hey a gun, it'd be fun to shoot someone, who don't I agree with? Who can I shoot?"

I think the reason why the left doesn't understand the impact of the assassination of Charlie Kirk is because to most people he was just an ordinary guy who said what he believed in. And that makes all conservatives feel vulnerable. He was just a normal dude with kids and so are we.

I think people on this platform legitimately don't understand how much of an impact Charlie Kirk was making and how much he was respected by those in political circles. I think if they did understand this, the reactions to his death would be different.

Based on my observations from x and from bluesky, Republicans and Democrats aren't really that different in their actions. Just their beliefs. They go about doing the same things to accomplish different goals.

I'm disappointed. I came to bluesky to get a different perspective on the Iran situation. Yet, the only posts I find are people trying to make some mean joke that tries to make people look bad. It's not even trending. I thought people here would give intelligent opinions and analysis.

I absolutely think it's important to talk about the cognitive decline of Joe Biden and it's attempted cover up. It shows exactly how the Democratic party (and the most of the users of this app) responds to anything that disagrees with their worldview. They just refuse to acknowledge it.

It is so disappointing to me that this app has become so breathtakingly politically one sided. I came here because of the idea of what bluesky represented. A not for profit, serve the users, social media site. Instead it's just the Democrats twitter without ads.

There is a common thing I've seen here on bluesky. The vast majority of people complaining about politics here are white and over the age of 40. They are academics, writers of some sort, or political strategists/commentators. Now tell me. Does that seem like an accurate representation of America?

No. I just want the govt to be competent. What if those are chinese drones? Or iranian drones? How hard would it be to load one up with explosives. They don't need to be constantly policing the skies, but they should be able to step in and get stuff done when asked by local govt.
