I forgot BC wasn't all just pine trees, still got some of those fall colors. Missed this place, cautiously glad to be back to start off a new chapter. Ontario was great, but never quite felt like home.
A street wet with rain and lined down both sides with the yellows of dead leaves still hanging on.

With all the concerns that have been arising these past few months about the safety of air travel, while this is limited to data from the US, this is a great article with data and context to back it.

Are plane close calls and crashes actually increasing? Here’s what the data says
Is flying still as safe as it once seemed? The statistics help reveal the answer.

Big internet outage with Bell right now, at least from the Sault thru Toronto to Montreal. Crossed 130,000 reports on DownDetector as of 9:30. Support website and phone lines DOA. www.reddit.com/r/bell/s/e6E...

Throwback to a solo summer roadtrip, one originally unintended destination of which was a place I couldn't not visit. The unincorporated township of Havilland, situated on the shore of gorgeous Havilland Bay. A long hike on a faint trail to a nondescript lookout, but worth every minute.
A photograph of a bay of Lake Superior, taken from 'Havilland Lookout' about 200m up the mountain.Havilland Lookout, nothing more than a patch of dirt and a crude wooden bench, but with a cleared spot through the trees and shrub to get a view of the Bay.One of the waterfalls on the trail, the running water tracing multiple paths across the dark rocks into a pool of water, surrounded by moss-covered rocks and trees and framed by foliage. The hiking trail to the Lookout, interrupted by tree roots in multiple spots, dead leaves and branches and rocks making the edges of the trail less defined. Sunlight illuminates the dense green foliage of the trees in the background, while the fore remains in relative shadow.

Might as well make at least one post here, pretend to be alive for anyone who looks. Maybe should post some airplane stuff more often. A rainy day for an engine run. Good thing there's windshield wipers! 🌧️
The cockpit of an aircraft from the jumpseat, no visibility out of the windshield for the condensation and fog, all of the instruments of the panels above and below backlit with an oldschool yellow glow.
