Spent Mothering Sunday watching the BBC’s 1988 adaptation of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe with my mother. I had it on video as a child. Talking animals played by people in costume and heavy makeup will always be more “real” than CGI. A wonderfully dreamlike fable.
