If Valve is only doing the connections as a temporary testing thing using USB-C as their test platform, then using a physical adapter that's connected to a wireless controller and is being spoofed as a wire should work. 000

And you can rebind as a bonus action, so you can do so mid-combat to dial the right damage to kill, say, some skellies. 010
