The way Fox spins all stories is incredible. Even positive things like things Mamdani implemented in New York they spin as if it's just a temporary fix and in a few weeks the city "will fall" whatever that means. wtf

I'm sure someone from the AI people will start a religion or cult stating the peak of AI was at 20B parameters and they will only work with models of that size for hundreds of years. They might be called the LLaMish

Echt so erschreckend.

There's no SD cards on them, the is is on a flash disk soldered on the board. I just added my ssh keys so whatever is on them it's by the manufacturer

damn. would be interesting to track where it's sending all that traffic too. But now I'm too scared to plug the cluster back in 😅

sounds like you need to hire more jeffs 😏

2 days later I had some network troubles and I checked my firewall and noticed that something uploaded crazy amounts of data. It turned out to be the 7 LM3H nodes. They uploaded 364 gigabytes (god knows where) and downloaded 12 TB. WHAT THE FUCK @jeffgeerling.com did yours do that too?

🖥 Chris @haschek.at · 10/01/2026

Really weird. I bought my second #NanoCluster this time with 7x LM3H nodes. They come pre installed with an outdated version of Debian. I did some basic tests, used the existing install to add my SSH keys. I had other things to do and left them running over night (still with the Debian install)

#homelab #minilab Monday! Drawing between 50 and 80 watts in production. Hosting mostly docker containers

A 10 inch mini lab with a NanoCluster on top, some cheap switch with 10g SFP+, keystones, a sticker that says "Warning, critical infrastructure, please do not hack" in german, a Raspberry Pi with another free slot next to it, a Thinkstation mini PC and an LED dot matrix panel

I've built a small Raspberry Pi cluster. Inspired by @jeffgeerling.com but configured it in a way that I can controll everything that's running in the cluster from a single git repository. blog.haschek.at/2025/ultimat...

An absolute catastrophy for Austria. It was a long time since our last school shooting and I hope that this was also the last for the decade

You should totally release a homelab version of the rack in a 10 inch mini lab. @jeffgeerling.com help me with this one 😂

Matrix is a federated chat system that people can host themselves. Matrix itself doesn't have a GUI but projects like Element (element.io) fill that gap. This is pretty close to discord but much slower in development because it's an open system
