I mean, pokebreeder was a trainer class for a while. We just don't see lot of that particular path because of the game mechanics

Yeah, it's largely faded. I think I just squished my sciatic nerve a bit and it took a few days of rest to heal

Went to my local indie bookstore and saw @ericlarocca.com books front and center of the Halloween display

A book display showing a collection of horror books for Halloween

A close up of the center of the display, showing copies of We Are Always Tender With Our Dead

I love turning paint palettes into their own art pieces.

Yeah, I was in the middle of explaining that it's difficult for me to find reasons to want to keep living when I'm already in constant pain and it's likely to only get worse and worse. (No advice, plz, it's being managed, just been a rough year)

Having a cute nickname for a friend's grandchild results in sending texts like "and has the potato figured out movement? it's such an issue when they figure out how to use legs"

The train of thought was "i love carrie but it is awfully cis man about the whole thing, there's so much you can do with menstrual symbolism....! trans masc carrie who's so dysphoric it causes psychic powers." I'm definitely working out some puberty trauma, ngl.

Fr. Anyone who casts a thin carrie is a coward

Harvey Knight (he/him) @harveyknight.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Ninoma if you haven't seen it! It is very much about being trans but it's empowering

Harvey Knight (he/him) @harveyknight.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

(Am I saying this because I have half a draft about a trans masc carrie? Beside the point. 😘)

We especially don't need one from a cis male. Like. Come on.

Shaving your head seems like the least commitment here Also it saves a lot of time in the shower

One time I found a dead bird in the side yard and asked if we could leave it there so I could document how it decomposed. (I did feel bad and bury it the next day)

(This also shows up in many discussions about Taylor swift)

Yeah. It will still be an unjust death, but at least this way, no one will be able pretend this isn't an act of violence. No one will be able to /sanitize/ it.

I always privately call it the twilight problem: "yes there are legitimate criticisms here but I think most of t you are just misogynistic"

I've worked at a fast food place for minimum wage, I've worked at engineering firms for $25/hr. Fast food was *infinitely* harder.

Some faint strobe effects in that one - more like glitch effects but I want to put a warning anyway

On the far end of the spectrum of my musical taste, I've really been enjoying Orville Peck's Rhinestone Cowboy lately

Linocutting isn't even the right technique for what i want to do! Probably! A template will work! Grump

(When to apply a model and when not to is, of course, always the issue)

020

Harvey Knight (he/him) @harveyknight.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

There's a line in social sciences - all models are wrong, some models are useful. There is no theory that 100% predicts human behavior but some are more accurate in certain circumstances. I think this is like that. RJ is a helpful model for how to move forward in some situations. not all of them.
