oc brainwave renaissance that lasted basically exactly a year before losing steam with the final nail in the coffin being a whole bunch of shit going on in the community that convinced me i want nothing to do with it anymore.

i feel my heart gravitating towards a certain name, one that came up very early in my search in fact, for my notishgard. i've also had other worldbuilding thoughts. but i can't begin to think how i'd like to lay them out! do i just start with some bullet points??

harrow @harrow.ne0dym.com · 04/06/2026

several times in raid i got the hysteria debuff and because we're still learning the teleporter placement, i end up running up to someone and oneshotting them. terrifying image of harrow consumed by madness turning on his friends with killing intent.

i think spears are honestly kinda lame. lances are cool with the mount's momentum, but for actual melee combat i think haro should have a halberd. i never looked much into them until now but they're really sick

decidedly not a fan of AM but i heard this song at a restaurant recently and it sounded nice and these lyrics specifically are harrowcore.

harrow @harrow.ne0dym.com · 27/05/2026

me looking at words in irish and stumbling upon "tairngire" with an alternate spelling "targaire", meaning prophet or promise, esp as in promised land. ok sounds awesome. if that were the name of the country, what would the people be called... ah, it just sounds like targaryen.

art of dragoon harrow proudly holding his lance but the lance is a hockey stick and the armour is habs jersey.

harrow @harrow.ne0dym.com · 21/05/2026

love the words goth and gothic but hate that they were long used as pejorative terms :(

looked for knight related books at the library yesterday, and couldn't locate this one comic that i saw on the catalogue, but nevertheless enjoyed finding a new harrow in the wild

reading wikipedia and imagining early era harrow as a swiss mercenary. even though i dislike referring to him as a mercenary in any capacity hehe. my grandfather was from the swiss alps so i feel compelled to take inspiration from that region...

ancient mesopotamian goddess inanna/ishtar. goddess of war, love and sex, enforcer of divine justice, always conquering and seeking more power, most famous myth being a descent into the underworld (perhaps a Harrowing of Hell?). interesting...

when i would play soccer in school i always liked being goalkeeper and whenever i watched pro soccer i always liked the goalies more, so i'd like to say harrow should be a goalie in hockey, but they don't seem to use their swords (sticks) that much which is boring

unfortunately reading victorian erotica of dubious morality thanks to tumblr

lately a certain song contest has given me each year an artist who really just scratches my brain super good with a song that transcends the event's "bubble" in my head, and this time serbia is doing it for me. i love these metal goth dark sad fuck princes. this is harrowcore.

in my original verse, whenever that comes into existence, i'd be totally down to make harrows partner nonbinary. but wouldn't it be invalidating if he still called them lady? it's an important part of the dynamic i feel.

i gotta get back to funny knight game... look at these fashions from reddit (henry with beard is so fine what)

i downloaded that one bible picture book that was going around on main recently, and hadn't got around to reading it until now. i just learned about jacob's brother, esau, and this is his picture on wikipedia. reminds me of hawo.

forever heartbroken that thou-thee-thy (and other T forms like tu in portuguese) are familiar, my gut tells me archaic = formal, why can't it be so.

000

harrow @harrow.ne0dym.com · 01/05/2026

oh yeah i was reading a little bit about bestiaries recently. i didn't know they had such christian significance, it's worth researching at some point

000

harrow @harrow.ne0dym.com · 01/05/2026

a while ago i imagined harrow playing the cello, revisiting the idea now i found out the cello wasn't invented until like the 17th century, so instead harrow's gonna play the hurdy gurdy.

i have actually drawn more harrows recently but inadvertedly i drew the same front facing hawo twice on separate occasions so obviously i can't post them both

i actually started a ng+ from 6.1 this morning. i didn't do much but i want to catch up eventually. i have got to properly meet my gender envy zero

ok we know house levesques heraldry is a black panther on a dark red field, with red being the signature colour. what if harrow's personal heraldry was a white panther (representing himself) on a black field, and he honours the red with the blood he gets on his armour.

000

harrow @harrow.ne0dym.com · 29/04/2026

harrows collection of helmets... why hide his beautiful beard though

000

harrow @harrow.ne0dym.com · 28/04/2026

i drew these the other day as a little reference for how i imagine harrow in the early days of lancer and dark knight respectively. the time period inspiration is roughly 14th century, except for the great helm which is an anachronism but it looks too cool not to include it

harrow @harrow.ne0dym.com · 28/04/2026

it would seem after all that it is hard to shake the nordic influence on ishg and its warrior culture and mythology. the idea of dying gloriously in battle really speaks to me and is key to harrows worldview, but is it possible to transpose it to a western christian european framework?

youtu.be/jUr5zPXmSfo another edgy superhero show i'm not gonna watch and i have no context for this but this gets freaky so i can see harrow in the guys position

me thinking about, and writing about, harrow tearing his enemies apart, but i can't watch the famous superhero cartoon bc it's too gory

ignoring the fact, which they even pointed out, that all the locations they showed didn't seem very cold at all, we have a new opportunity to make harrow look like this

now we get a norse themed expansion and i still don't love norse mythology

do you ever think about the evolutionary history of animal-folk like how ever did these humanoids develop cat/bunny ears on the top of their heads

miss haro brainworms. too busy writing essays about him to think about him now

i'm not sure how important it is for my not-ish's religion to be henotheistic (worship of one god without denying others), like monotheism would be more catholicoded but i can't see the war goddess as a creator god. i do want it to have a jesus figure though

can i borrow confraternities of penitents and their capirote hats into my world...

harrow @harrow.ne0dym.com · 14/04/2026

the most gigabrain decision i made was having harrow, who usually does the worshipping, secretly thrive in being the saviour (esp. in mania) 😇 he ofc remains humble in the eyes of everyone else but i, the writer, know he's tallying up every praise and gift and feeling so holy for doing the good deed

010

harrow @harrow.ne0dym.com · 14/04/2026

i am wholly uninterested in invincible but i can't deny nolan was an influence on harrows stache and i'm at least a little bit delighted to see there are so many other men with staches in this show.
