In other news, the Premier who doesn’t want the voices of Albertans silenced by Ottawa takes action to silence the voice of Edmontonians. She could be heard muttering “Do as I say not what I do.”

Sometimes trees just get in the way. This morning on 88 Ave. Significant damage, not sure how fast he was going.

We were turning right onto 82 when the fire department arrived here, so shortly after it happened. No clue what happened though on the sunny afternoon with dry roads and no other vehicles involved.

Ghost Magpie on some grass looking rather regal.

I am fine with it, other jurisdiction do this as well. Now if we could just some of those small traffic circles on our street.

Larry Harris @harrislarryd.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

All of that is done privately now. It is the overall operation, what is done by the airport authorities.

Unfortunately YEG is not part of this. It looks like it will remain as is paying rent to the feds

110

Larry Harris @harrislarryd.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

They are essentially private already.

Larry Harris @harrislarryd.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Thanks for this, will give it a read. I have a background in airports and use to be involved with how airports can be better, so very interested in what transpires.

Larry Harris @harrislarryd.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Not having seen any detail this looks like it would allow for profit operators and other means of raising capital. There are Canadian for profit airport operators, plus could be opportunity for pension funds too.

010

Larry Harris @harrislarryd.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

We essentially have private operations today but the operators are limited to being essentially non-share capital corporations with local boards, terminology/exact structure will be different in each province. But they are limited in how they raise capital essentially only debt.

I will try the flour. I just used a recipe from glutenfreebaking today, with some tweaks. I think I will go to my tried and true recipes and look at adapting. Good news is I have started a new gf sourdough starter this past week!
