Google rewards big domains, ft Investopedia & Corporate Finance Institute. I wrote a tofu glossary page for b2b SaaS in 2023 and ranked #1 for a finance term for a good year. In 2024 6 SaaS competitors added the term to their blog. Continued to outrank them all... but wait.

Google's results in Canada for "tariffs" are a great example of how search algorithms can switch results & determine what people are looking for in real time. In July, top spots went to definitions (WTO, Investopedia). Now, top stories & news sites dominate. #seo #searchintent
