This album has just turned 40! As a teenager working for a music paper, I often used to get the “unfashionable” new albums to review - and XTC fell into that category at the time. I thought this (Skylarking) was a work of genius and still do. Summertime in England perfectly captured.

Just got our annual review from Spotify and discovered that after the UK, our biggest audience is in Austria, then Poland, then Denmark, followed by the US in fifth spot. I think Andy will need to rethink his touring wardrobe - it’s Austria, not Australia!!!!

So we have a friend whose nine-year-old son Henry is seriously into being in a band (he’s a guitarist and his band is called TNT) so he drew some acts he rates. There’s The Beatles, us, and the bottom one is Oasis. Henry clearly has an eye for talent!!!😂
