Maybe maybe. Well I ordered them. And I'll be trying some classic Black + Gold scheme on them. Let's see if I keep my sanity 😜

I pre ordered a box myself and I must admit I was a little worried that these models would suffer from the "overly complex modern GW style", but looking at this it seems like a two colour scheme seems really doable. Much clearer from this picture compared to the Shining Silver Warrior box art 😅

(5) immediately start aiming for those hard to reach areas, from below, from the sides, under the armpits, etc. this way your "overspray" will be more than enough to cover those areas that are hard to miss anyway! If you have any more tips, I'd love to hear them!

Another quick tip for today. When spray painting your undercoat: (1) do small batches on a handle so you easily reach all sides; (2) shake well before starting (3) spray somewhere free from wind, humidity or too high temperatures; (4) spray in quick small bursts; and finally...

For me, the "Pile of Shame", for my 4-year old son, an Epic Battle between the Forces of Good and the Forces of Evil. Who's going to win? That one Space Marine probably 😜

The colony of Giant Bats have been taken care of... ready for our games of Warhammer Quest '95. I never managed to find 12 of the original plastic ones, so I decided to paint strip these old metal bat swarms. Tutorial for harmsworkshop.com coming soon...

Very difficult to say... one of those paint jobs that was on my desk for a month or more. Actual painting time maybe... 15 hours?

My freshly painted Dwarf Hero (and #oldendemon2026 entry) on his first Warhammer Quest '95 dungeon crawl. Obviously my son wanted to play him, so I had the pleasure of healing everyone with the female Wizard hero! Victory was achieved, and the heroes live to fight another day! #whq95

Well unfortunately I think chances are low I'll get to play any Necromunda, let alone "Retromunda" any time soon, so I'll leave my choice of base on aesthetics alone. Will take care of the image alts in future!

While painting, this method gives the best access (especially from below), and the metal pin can later be used to firmly attach the model to its base.

Harm's Workshop @harmsworkshop.com · 16/02/2026
Although I have several special miniature holders with ergonomic grips and rotating top, I've come to prefer this method of using a small pin in the foot of the model stuck into a cork.

I've never tried using a light box, but I think the "paper on wall" method is more flexible and certainly cheaper!
