We must return to the old texts (the Dune Encyclopedia).
Entry from the Dune Encyclopedia. Part of the entry on Jehanne Butler is highlighted. It reads "Jehanne went to the capitol of Pylos to enter the hospital for the birth of a child. Since both parents had married late in life for their culture, they were especially eager for this birth. When on the delivery table, Jehanne was anesthetized; when she awoke, she and her husband were informed that their daughter, Sarah, had been aborted. The hospital explained that the fetus had been too deformed to survive. The abortion was described as therapeutic. Jehanne's control of her own body, which as a result of her Bene Gesserit training extended beyond those muscle systems usually thought of as automatic, had permitted a deep knowledge of the growth of her child within the womb. She was convinced that it was impossible for her child to have been so grievously malformed as the hospital had described. In time, Jehanne came to believe that her child's death had at best been unnecessary. Using the access to official records provided by Thet'r's position as Logistos, she discovered within the archives of the hospital evidence that the hospital director — the first self- programming machine on Komos — had instituted a program of unjustified abortions."

A pen and ink illustration for Joseph E. Kelleam's short story "Rust", published in Astounding Science Fiction, October 1939.

A spherical, four-legged robot with claw-tipped forearms, two large black eye domes on front, spring coils protruding from the front and back on a band that runs around its spherical body, and a welded-on Pickelhaube helmet, tries to use its claws recreate a statute depicting a small child riding a fish in a fountain, but the mass of mud barely resembles it.

The text below the image reads: "Soldier-robot X-120, unemployed because there are no more people to exterminate, tries his hand at art by way of consolation. But he was not built for creativity."

Refer to myself as Ishmael. A while back, never mind how extended, being
nonfunctional, and diddly-squat particular to retain me on beachside, I
contemplated I might voyage in the opposite direction for a stretch and
pick up an eyeful of the watery component of the celestial body. It's a
procedure I have to administer off the liver and to legally restrict
flow. Whenever I find myself down at the kisser and whensoever it's a
high humidity, wet November in my inner being or whenever I find I'm
involuntarily adjourning in front of casket storage facilities and
hindmost in line of every laying to rest I stumble upon, and most
especially when my needles get the uppermost paw on me, it requires a
rigid mindscape rule to keep me from purposefully stepping into the
thoroughfare and purposefully knocking citizenry's haberdasheries on
holiday; that's when I compute it heyday to get to the ocean as full
tilt as practicable. This's my successor for gun and bat. In a
metaphysical hysteria, Cato lobs himself upon his rapier and I inaudibly
go to the sailing craft. There's nothing disgraceful at this location.
If most would permit entry it, almost everybody in their Celsius, one
date or additional, ardors just about the indistinguishable
sensibilities for the briny as myself.

Selection from the Dune Encyclopedia entry for "Butler, Jehanne".

"Jehanne was trained as a priestess on Komos and also as a Bene Gesserit. Rather than following the career of a priestess, either from her own decision or that of her order, she married Thet'r Butler, the Logistos of Xania, one of the ten administrative districts on Komos. In the same year as their marriage, (205 B.G.), Jehanne went to the capitol of Pylos to enter the hospital for the birth of a child.
