Could our event *really* honour Lan Xichen, without any rules?? Of course not! Find our rules here: www.tumblr.com/happy-birthd... (Tl;dr: don't use AI; do focus on Xiyao; interpret their relationship as you like; make fanworks of any size; use the prompts if you want; and be kind.)

Creator prompts for our Xiyao fan event (Oct 8-15, 2025) appear below. These prompts are optional, offered only for inspiration (and to give each day a birthday-ish theme). If you create a fanwork that doesn't follow any prompt, then it should be posted on Day 8 (Freeform). :) #xiyaobirthday2025

A poster in blue and gold, with “happy birthday er-ge!” at the top. Below it appear prompts for the eight days of this Xiyao fandom event: Beginnings, Plans, Celebration, Gifts, Wishes, Music, Longevity, and Freeform.

This is a fandom event set for October 8 to 15, 2025, in which we celebrate Lan Xichen through his relationship with Jin Guangyao. Join us in creating and sharing Xiyao fanworks! We welcome any interpretation of their relationship, as long as they're the focus. :) #xiyao #mdzs #xiyaobirthday2025

A banner that reads "Happy Birthday Er-ge!" in the top center, with the dates "October 8-15" in the bottom center. Two characters, drawn in a cartoon style, flank the words. Lan Xichen appears on the left, wearing a blue robe and white forehead ribbon, his long dark hair partly pulled up. He winks and holds out his left hand coyly, as though he has just blown a kiss to the viewer. On the right appears Jin Guangyao, wearing a golden robe, with long brown hair flowing out from under his signature black cap; the jewel in the cap's center has been replaced by a heart. He is facing the viewer and smiling.
