Adamson HS (Title I, high-poverty) earned its 2nd straight A rating- the only comprehensive high school in Dallas ISD to do so. Kids from low-income & minority backgrounds defying the odds. Inclusion & belonging are the real culture behind it. 💙🐆

Trying to make better use of our side whiteboard. I created a transition tracker for my kids! The crooked lines are driving me CRAZY though!!! 😭 I also found magnets of the visuals! Added a few to my wishlist to save my sanity! 🤣

Today’s PD was a reminder that not teaching procedures is basically a crime. 😂🕵️‍♀️ Our AP fully committed to the theme with a classroom “crime scene” as we investigated what happens when routines are missing. Safe to say… procedures solve crimes. 🚔📚
Teachers sit in a classroom during professional development while an administrator presents a detective-themed lesson on classroom procedures. The screen reads “Today’s Objective/Learning Goal” with crime-solving graphics, and participants have investigation folders at their desks.A mock crime scene in a school hallway features yellow caution tape, a taped body outline on the floor, evidence markers, and props used for the detective-themed professional development activity about classroom procedures.

This year, in particular, will be very difficult. School districts are facing budget deficits and restrictions. Budget cuts are ravaging public schools. Positions are cuts left, right, and centers. Help schools financially.

Cleaning out my closet and unearthed a true millennial artifact! I was OBSESSED with this game. Looking back, Wishbone really had an entire generation learning classic literature without us realizing it. 🐶⚓ Please tell me I wasn’t the only Wishbone superfan! Anyone else remember this game?
