Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 18/09/2025Baller. Curious to chat more about data insights sometime if you want. I'm curious what could be pulled out of raw data on Nintendo APIs as well as the survey. Nice work! 110
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 18/09/2025Whoa, how did we find this dataset? Do people share these or are they pulled from Nintendo? 100
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 08/09/2025I mean, if you want prizes, I'll give you one. You win the Most Likely To Be Called Arvel prize! Congratulations! 110

Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 04/08/2025But if you wanna know more, don't be strange, feel free to hit me up! Just can't explain it all here lol 000
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 04/08/2025If you have heard from me in a minute it's nothing personal, I have upgraded from terminally offline to trying to advance my career, so I'm taking a bunch of courses and seminar thingies (soon), and reading and writing more (hopefully). 130
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 29/07/2025Hm not old enough to rent a car though! The last frontier... 000
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 26/07/2025Just watched this and found your bsky link. Thank you so much for giving the update! I myself was just laid off in June from a software IC job so it helped me get a perspective on things. 100
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 07/07/2025Stuck in airport after deplaning, due to weather delays it seems. But #goml was a blast! Hope to come back! 170
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 04/07/2025Whoa Peter Hamilton that's a blast from my past 000
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 03/07/2025I legit streamed 6 person brackets from my one bedroom flat in the mid 2010s where we played for approximately $20. Or maybe it was a meal, I legit don't remember. Actually, $20 is my lifetime winnings (before entry fee) in Melee. Coincidence??? 010
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 03/07/2025It's hard to overstate the now viral Mang0 winners interview where he passionately describes the Melee scene as cockroaches who'd play for $20 in their garages. Having been shut down or threatened with such multiple time, this wasn't even an exaggeration. We really did that shit. 110
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 03/07/2025Incidentally, Smash Melee is 24 years old which is older than the average splatoon player 🤔😂 But all joking aside, without the grassroots Melee scene (documented in The Smash Bros, if you like hours long vintage YouTube), it's likely Nintendo games outside Pokemon wouldn't have LAN scenes 220

Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 10/06/2025It can also be helpful to know that most of right wing-ese is dogwhistling, in this case for a return to Jim Crow segregationist era "rules for thee but not for me" states rights 000

Reposted by Hapless HeroJonathan Cohn @jonathancohn.bsky.social · 04/06/2025Somehow the "We need to support policies that are popular" crowd never land on the very popular polices like "taxing big corporation more," "making health care more affordable," or "paying teachers more." It's always just "be 10% more racist." 443265859
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 03/06/2025I should specify that this is in the context of both parts airing simultaneously to Frieren and Maomao 000
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 03/06/2025Solo Leveling anime getting so much acclaim and popularity is a symptom of pretty rampant misogyny and I am sorry to anyone who deals with active enjoyers of it 130

Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 24/05/2025Yes exactly the rider was sorely missing The author even said she toured Japan for research for the book, but it LITERALLY sounds like the book was written by a white tourist who was like OMG THEIR DRAGONS DONT HAVE WINGS 010
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 24/05/2025anyway I almost liked it a lot but felt so sad it was missing part of that intersection 100
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 24/05/2025Let me follow that up with actual content lol I read Priory of the Orange Tree; it ticked a bunch of boxes: ✅ dragons and riders ✅ court drama ✅ horny ✅ gay ❌ non-white representation was painfully Brit centric, 1/4 viewpoint was Asian but they did nothing ❌ too many viewpoints, not enough payoff 100
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 24/05/2025Honestly that's too bad, wish there was somewhere to find an intersection of good, culturally and sexually diverse, AND horny 100
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 23/05/2025One per screen* should be enough, I think, just check if it's compatible with Mac or Windows (or Linux) Limited fps may make gaming harder but probably fine? 110
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 23/05/2025Ahhh so you want an HDMI to USB adapter? Some come with one display, some with two. One should be enough if you aren't gaming on it at high res/fps, right? I like Anker for the price. 110
Hapless Hero @haplesshero.bsky.social · 23/05/2025Little confused here, if your goal isn't mirroring then I'm not sure how an external HDMI splitter/repeater or a switcher will help. What's your goal? 110
