I understood your point as a figure of language to remark that ignorance and prejudice are being pushed by "whites". But they are not the only ones. I saw many "Latinos for Trump", "Blacks for Trump" who, at some point, support the very same ignorance. The same happens out of the US, believe me.

mass deportations itself is a problem aggravated by the way ICE is pursuing them. The other effect is that those images will, and perhaps this is the intention, prevent people from coming. So this is changing the US structurally. The final picture is a big question mark.

my concern is the deadly part. The US may face epidemics that will cost lives and money with diseases which should be long gone. The world will suffer if it loses the excellency of US research, if some other country does not jump in
