iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

the cartoons look like regular people and the real life wrestlers looked like cartoons!

000

Oh yeah, that's the weird one where it tries to become more over the top. not to Midway's Wrestlemania extent, but I argue is more jarring due to how the prior games were subdued. I was going to say "grounded artstyle" but I realized wrestlemania used digitized graphics.

100

you gotta wonder what's going through their head when speaking their lines out loud. "what the fuck kind of game is this? why is there so much emphasis on a fuckin bucket?"

020

true to the star wars spirit! For better and for worse! And this was a massive case of being FOR WORSE

060

on on the one hand. yeah it's weird for there to be an 18+ sonic event. but on the other, idgaf this shit is hilarious XD at this point we can't be too surprised considering Sega put Sponge Bob and Asuka from NGE in a Sonic racing game.

Yeah it is weird if you're a fan of the Scooby Doo franchise I remember finding that weird too, but I get what they mean, they're saying "this time the monsters are real AND are a real threat." and I just chalked it up to Zombie Island taking place before all those 80s movies.

130

Though, I don't get why console kids are like that. Like, we had gun n ball gamers back when I was in high school and even then you didn't see those guys being like "FUCK SKYRIM".

000

I know some kids that say this are from low income households and all they have is a phone and the only way they can play with their friends is through roblox and fortnite. Though, more reason to teach em to use emulation.

100

We gotta teach the youth how to use emulators. The amount of kids I'm seeing saying "single player games" suck is wild.

OH... Well shit. Some good fuckin news finally.

ran out of space. I should add, that Twitter is still popular. Just not AS reflective of internet pop-culture as it once was and has a lot of its own distinctive (primarily toxic) culture going on.

Bowsette was made during a time Twitter was more popular and wasn't fueled by people pushing passive-aggressive propaganda and pretend to be fans. Granted thinking on it further, I can see "Malfoid" relevant for a bit outside of twitter, but it wouldn't be the "RETVRN"-type shit. HP is still mad popular.

100

Considering Xiahou Dun ate his own eyeball, I wouldn't be surprised if there are more cannibals in Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

I don't think the Malfoid trend is gonna last that long. Most of the people involved are clearly not Harry Potter fans and any kind of longevity that lasts for more than two months is going to stay on Twitter. Remember, Twitter aint the internet townsquare anymore.

Exactly. I am tired of seeing the “I always knew”/“their work was actually bad” takes whenever allegations emerge. Sometimes—often, actually!—bad people find their way into good spaces and make good things. And you’re not better than the folks who were taken advantage of for “always knowing”

There are a lot of things that were misguided about the PC-FX, but the thing that always gets me is how bizarrely outdated its chiptune capabilities are. A lot of games used CD music anyway, but it's weird to watch footage of games released in 1997 that still sound like HuCard titles.

This looks like it'll damage the disc or the drive if you use the numpad a lot, or just use the keyboard in general, moving it around. Not the worst idea, but I can see why this idea didn't caught on.

Of all the companies where this isn't justified; WHICH this isn't justified for most streaming services as is, but Disney is the one that shouldn't be using ads, this is full on nickle & diming to an extreme to the point where you might as well change your mascot to Mr. Krabs instead of Mickey Mouse
