Right wingers do it all the time so that they don’t get caught on record saying something stupid before you vote for them. Seems to work for them, judging by the state of democracy in North American. A detriment to democracy, for sure.

Problem with the cities and towns around me, is they only build overpriced housing to bring in more rich people, and the people who already live here are being priced out. I have the cheapest one bedroom apartment in my town at $1,500 per month. Average is like $2,300, new ones go for over $3,000.

The image is of a four panel comic. The title reads "Poltergeist".
In the first panel we see a woman with a worried expression on her face. She says, "stuff keeps moving around my house."
In the second panel the same woman says "I'm terrified. I can't sleep."
In the third panel we see a ghost holding a candle and a pillow that reads "live laugh love". The ghost is zooming through the house.
In the fourth panel we see the same ghost hanging up a frame and thinking, "home decor is my passion".

The first panel shows a brain. The brain is saying "I'm 30 and YOUNG! I only recently fully developed!"
The second panel shows a heart. The heart says "I hear ya! I can keep going for DECADES more!"
The third panel shows a spine's face. It weakly says, "I am old".
We zoom out and the spine is using a walker. It continues, "so very old".

Sometimes inspiration came from unexpected places. Hamilton would often bring her daughter, Lauren, to the lab with her on nights and weekends. Lauren, then four years old, liked to play astronaut in the team's simulators, and one day, pressing buttons at random, she caused a spectacular software crash. Hamilton investigated and found that Lauren had confused the program by keying in a pre-launch sequence, called P01, "in the middle of the mission," she says. She asked the powers at NASA to let her add a safeguard to prevent that error in a real flight, and they laughed it off as too unlikely. But they let her make a note of it. When an astronaut did make that blooper during the Apollo 8 mission —the first manned flight orbiting the moon—it caused necessary navigational data to vanish, and they called Hamilton in to get it back. "I remember saying to a couple of guys there, 'It's the Lauren bug!' she says, laughing.

Soon, asking “Does this device have a camera?” won’t be good enough.
