𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐭: Social media & other platforms make dramatic dog-training transformations easy to notice. Yet, a lot of behaviour work is quiet & quite boring to watch! That's because the aim is to work before the dog becomes overwhelmed or over-reactive... www.hannegrice.com/walk-the-dog...

A new study shows the way people interpret defensive behaviour in cats and dogs is linked to how they said they would respond in that situation. Those that rated the animal as angry were more likely to select harsher options, incl physical punishment and rehoming. www.hannegrice.com/walk-the-dog...

What is your dog’s equivalent of £5, £20 or £50? For one dog, it might be chicken; for another, sniffing a hedgerow may be more rewarding. The value of those rewards can change too. A piece of food worth £50 in the kitchen may feel like loose change in a busy park! www.hannegrice.com/walk-the-dog...
