Today, I’m grateful. Not because my life is perfect, but because I’m reminded that it could be so different. Grateful for the freedom. Grateful for the independence. Grateful for the life I have right now. 🤍

Everyone has a different story. Everyone is carrying something. And sometimes you just need a little perspective to realize that the life you’re complaining about might be the life someone else would give anything to have.

But watching her reminded me that the things I might take for granted, my independence, my freedom, being able to get up and go wherever I want, take care of myself, and make my own choices are things someone else may be praying for every single day.

And what really stuck with me wasn’t just the responsibility she carries, but the fact that she seems to do it with so much love and a smile.It honestly made me stop and feel grateful for my own life. Sometimes I get caught up in what I don’t have, or how I wish certain parts of my life looked.

I was watching a video of a 22 year old wife who is also a full time caregiver for her husband. At such a young age, she’s responsible for another person in ways most of us probably don’t even think about; changing his catheter, helping him get dressed, feeding him, caring for him, and so much more.

Lean on God a little more, let him carry the weight. He already knows you’re capable of handling whatever you’re going through, but that doesn’t mean you’re meant to carry it all by yourself. He’s right there ready to take some of the pressure. So let him. Trust him. Give it to him 🤍
